Meh. I just dont see the point in cycles if you arent a streamer if the only "reward" for starting all over and losing your stash is a 5 day headstart on a boss kill.

Not enough content release per cycle to merit sticking around. I will be switching to POE2 ASAP. The static maps are a real bore when the only interesting thing to do is replay with a different build. Grinding up the monolith just isn't fun. It has made me even consider going back to POE1.

This is a good decision I wish they just held it till it was killed but 95% chance that will still be the case here anyway and the boss will drop by the first weekend anyway

Unfortunately they don't have the same concepts that keep the game interesting season/cycle to cycle. Base game was worth the money but I'm not sticking around in a game where I'm bored. Static maps for new build trials was about it and I've done that.

I believe the Pinnacle boss will be destroyed within the first 48h after the new cycle starts and only if we do not have any server issues this time.

On an unrelated note, have any of you played Undecember lately? Is it in a good state? I always thought it's boss fights looked good but never got into it cause of the launch bad reviews

Realistically there is no way I could no life LE for a solid week to attempt the pinnacle boss before it is released to everyone, as such I will play Legacy / Offline. The game will be exactly the same for everyone after the first week, possibly sooner if someone beats the pinnacle boss before Monday July 15.

i didnt know cycles had started yet lol i suppose its hard to say when content just comes to the game just seems more like an update lol personally i dont see the point in making a cycle character unless a friend really wanted to, i would rather not have to wait a week or 2 before content comes to me but a week is not long enough for me to care and i rarely rush to a start of a season anyway so im not bothered. i dont dislike temporary seasons but i was happy to hear LE wasnt doing it because i like it taking time to level and build a character and if it was a temp seasonal content game i would feel irritated having to grind it up everytime to play the 1 or 2 new thing. if i play short term seasonal content i want to level and build my character fast so i can play the good stuff and either skip the start or make the seasonal content change the start

Yeah, this is a real dumb move on their part for an ARPG in 2024. I like the game but honestly, respect my time in regards to this. The campaign is, well, not very good and I don't want to do it every season and every single time I want to try a new build. It's my biggest complaint. If POE2 doesn't make you redo unlocks season to season, I think it will be a permanent goodbye to LE.

Personally, I think this is a mistake. I believe player retention just got a soft cap for many participants. Try to beat boss in a week, meh, ill just hop on a character already geared enough to obliterate it. Day 8. Well, that was cool. Deuces.

If the PINNACLE content of the game can be beaten in 7 days with a fresh start character, there's a problem.

If it was solo I would say yes, but a team of 4 racers it is doable to clear it, so there is no problem.

on that note: any build/class that can solo pinnacle in a week will be nerfed into oblivion.

​@@Maxstratus2002tho if they nerf a class/build just because 1 or 2 percent can finish a pinnacle in a week seems like its headed towards poe and could kill the game in general, i mean there are ssf and hardcore ssf's so if too easy then ppl can try that but not make the game harder for everyone (i myself am just a normal gamer not a hardcore).

No lifers will almost min/max some strong build with 1 week. EHG can't prevent that. The boss will be hard but beatable by any strong build.

I feel like they are giving nothing to cycle players. They need to give something to players that start fresh and play the cycle.

Time gating content is so fucking disappointing. You can tell how many people have given up on this game by the low amount of activity on the forums even for this post. Proves how flawed these polls really are because most the people who where outspoken about the flaws have long given up trying anymore and only people around anymore are the EHG bootlickers.

I loved the idea of nothing being cycle only, I always play cycle because I love a fresh start, but I’m more about a game being fun for more people, so I wouldnt want the legacy player to have to have to wait for new content and for people who play cycle, I don’t see how a legacy player beating it first and enjoying the game can affect my fun playing cycle, overall I would just feel selfish not wanting legacy player having access to all content
