Legacy since there are no rewards of any kind available in Cycles, not even an achievement. Some transmogs would at the very least be an incentive...

I’m glad more ARPGs are doing this now (D4 I’m looking at you) as far as releasing all contents to both legacy and seasonal chars. Not everyone has time to play 4-8 hours a day to get caught back up on a fresh char like streamers do.

I feel ya but seasonal rollouts are fun when the content can be done in a few weeks D4 style. Even if you play a few hours a week. Seasonal "themes" with new powers or new missions can keep it fresh without worrying about balance. I do respect the decision for the patch to be live on all realms.

I just got my computer rebuilt this week after not having it for 5 over months. I missed the LE launch and was heartbroken. I’ve been building your lazy fire necro build and was sad to have to start over when the cycle dropped. Now I don’t have to!!! Best news I’ve heard all day. 😆 Thanks Aaron!!

Starting fresh in a ARPG is the best part of them its been this way since D2 its the main reason players come back also don't get used to Legacy and Cycle being the same its only temporary Cycles will have Cycle only Mechanics in the Future this must be mentioned in these kinda videos

Some questions: 1. Is Legacy an "offline" mode ? I have not seen any players there so far. I mean it says it is an online mode, but it is either offline or dead. Hard to believe tbh not to see any players in the "End of time" city. 2. After I unlocked new faction, there is a portal or mirror or something that says that this stuff is locked for Legacy & can only be accessed via Cycle Character. What exactly am I missing ? Some Observation: I have my 1st and only Character (Druid) that I am trying to max out (currently level 95), and that character was moved to Legacy. The major downside I have noticed is that I have to re-buy all of the Storage upgrades as it seem like the ones I had are "attached" to my previously "Cycle" Character. Once I take item out, I can not place it inside the "1.0" storage. I can only place it in "legacy" which was not upgraded autamtically once my "one" character was moved to Legacy. Re-buying those kinda hurts. Also, I have not done it and now I kinda wish I did. Before major update, do screenshots of your passives & skills, as if they change something, you have to spend all your points (100+) again & try to re-create your build.

Question. When cycle 2 ends and my character turns into legacy, Does my progress in circle of fortune get added or is it lost? Is there anything that does not transfer from cycle to legacy when the cycle is over?

I'm playing Legacy, simply because I can't kill the uber boss within 7 calendar days anyway, and I want to prepare myself with the new stuffs once I'm able to. Still hoping costume can be used offline, my internet connection isn't always stable.

Let me get that straight... So i can play my old characters - pre online mode, from very old early access like 2019-2020 - in offline mode still and i will get every single "benefit", upgrade whatever is called from current new "season" ?

I think so. Except the traders guild or what it is called. But you can just choose the other faction which most people find more fun anyways.

Will our Legacy characters get free respecs without losing progress? Are there any other effects that the new patch will have on Legacy characters (e.g., gear)? Just wondering if the new patch will completely break old builds, particularly if those old builds are very dependent on specific gear.

yes like if u were specced into the avalanche tree, your points are refunded and u can instantly put them in the new nodes

Question: Usually PoE has a gimmick for their seasons (last league I think was Necropolis). So this isn't the case here? So besides the pinnacle boss that is the only difference and that is only for 7 days?

Just imagine that Necropolis applies to standard as well. That's what Last Epoch is doing. Everything is core straight away.

Quick question my legacy factions are no where near near my cycle so when they go to legacy is my gear that’s tagged gonna be useless?

For faction progression it will take into account which is higher and apply that to your legacy characters going forward. I'm not sure when/how it is determined, but just to be safe i'd log in with a character that has a higher level in your cycle 1 factions first

Take a look at the difference in studio size as a perspective - Blizz and GGG have grown their studios to massive size and are able to turn out "disposable" content that is only consumed for 3-4 months at a time before only a small part is added to the core game permanently. EHG is only ~100 people with a game that just launched this year (2024), they don't have the same developmental capability to create disposable content that they can afford to lock behind a cycle/season/league. Maybe around 1.5/1.6 they will be confident enough in their vision for the base game to do so, but until then they want to make sure that the game at it's core is enjoyable for more than just the 1% of the titles player base.
