I was about to do my first alt after finisishing my 2nd monolith using my beastmaster main. As I wanted the fastest moving build possible, and always loved playing rogue classes in these kinds of games, I was looking at the rogue. And wanted to know, how the very popular falconer compared to the marksman. Then I found this video :D. It seems that even though I only have a little over 2 tabs full of Uniques so far, I actually have all the items in the builds, except for the armor. So it feels like it was meant to be :P. My one question as a LE noob is, that if you don't need the whole tree, can I still go into another mastery and play this build? I see that the only bonus you get from marksman is if you're using a bow., which you are not Or am I just missing something? It would be nice to be able to play this build while being able to switch to a falconer build later on.

with the detonating arrow passive tree, IMO its best with a slightly different setup. you do not need Piercing Thunder stat points. you can put some, but don't max it. yes it gets lightning pen, but only for the lightning tendrils, which only scales with bow and lightning damage. it will not be the majority of your damage by a long shot. it helps with clear, but you do not need 4 points into Piercing Thunder for it to help clear. its best to put 2 points. put another point into Arcing Blast to max it out to 8 chains and then put a 2nd point into Weak Spot to ensure and more quickly reach max stacks of Critical Vulnerability. this also means you don't need too much crit chance to max your crit chance. Peak of the Mountain IMO is a waste, its way way overkill. i'd much rather have the leech and a better base or better unique for legendary. another thing someone can do to solve mana problems is take one point out of Clustered Explosives. this way you only throw 4 traps at a time (maximum of 7, so throw twice and they'll all explode), and put that point into Ash Compartment which will ensure you get max stacks of lightning shred. another thing which should end up being way more damage, is on your chest armor instead of getting 90% inc dmg while dagger equiped (not each dagger), get armor shred effect. since you have so much armor shred which will more than double your armor shred damage boost with this one stat. it will amount to much more damage than just a measely 90% inc dmg this build is so much fun to play. explosive traps are definitely my favourite skill in the game now and im going to try so many variations of it. im going to do a poison version next, starting soon. just a blast.

You can also make fire trap to a bow attack, which triggert detonate arrow, and this way, you can use the marksman tree with his +bow talents.

The only problem with this is that it makes builds boring until you get them. My biggest gripe with this game is those really fun end game builds do require uniques which means if you havnt got them you have to play some rather boring builds in the mean time which makes the gearing up process a huge drag. I want to level an acolyte but everytime i start levelling her im just so bored. EHG could do with making some uniques for earlier in the game that also help change some builds, we shouldnt have to wait for endgame to play the best builds. It would be nice if we could have a gradual change in build dynamics as we level so there is a sense of synergy and build crafting right from the moment you click create a character. A good example of waiting until endgame for a fun build is hammerdin. You simply cannot play the build without atleast 2 idols with the smite affix. I think Paladin is one of the best sub classes at the moment becuase you can mix rive and Healing hands and have a very functional fun build from the get go. But mages for example either require alot of skill investment or uniques before they really start shining. I think EHG really needs to spend some time sitting down with the game and figuring out how they can make all classes fun from teh start.

I've been having a blast with this build. Someone in your stream yesterday mentioned removing smoke bomb specialization for acid flask that are also thrown by your traps. I gave that a try, and it's pretty awesome. But it consumes a lot more mana so I ended up adding +mana/mana regen to some gear and now it's not an issue. Acid flask applies slow, blind, frailty, poison, and a ton of armor shred so it's worth it. Also, there is a node to have it apply haste. I took 2 points in that (out of 4 total) for 50% chance since I needed more points in the mana efficiency node. I have 100% up time on haste now which is huge for blasting and damage. Strongly recommend making the change.

is there some kind of bug regarding the mana cost reduction? If I equip no reduction ring, trap costs are 17. Equipping -3 Throwing Attack Mana Cost Rings reduces mana cost by 1 each, not by 3 as stated in the tooltip. is this just a visual bug on the tooltip?

mine is doing the exact same..... when i check his build planner his trap costs 3 mana . i cant figure out why - i think its something to do with clustered explosives and sublte sabotage effecting the mana costs in a weird way.

the build planner could be wrong, when it's assuming just what what we assumed on the cost reduction. if there's some kind of diminishing returns on mana cost reduction the game should state that, though. let's assume this is a bug and do bug reports :)

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong or it may still just be that I'm still low level (Level 37), but currently I have to cast detonating arrow manually for a ton of damage. I have both daggers and have set up the points in explosive trap to trigger detonating arrow, but the traps are doing next to no damage, however, manually casting detonating arrow does a ton of damage. Anyone know why this would be?

I'm levelling up (currently Lvl 50) using Denotating Arrow and finally have a pair of the daggers. For some reason when the build planner popped up, Explosive Trap wasn't there, so I had been playing without it. Detonating Arrow, as melee was nuts. Basically tap 1 thing, wait 0.5 sec and things on screen died. Prism Wraps paired with 54% crit change and I could face tank act bosses. Looking back at your video again, I now see I was missing Explosive Trap. I've put that in and have Detonating Arrow triggering from it, but wow, it is so under whelming. I'm not really seeing what the Detonating Arrow is meant to be doing. I literally do almost no damage and just go back to melee hitting with Detonating Arrow for basically everything to be 1 shot. Has the Detonating Arrow from Explosive Trap been modified?

Honestly, the minus mana cost on throwing skills seems to apply before the mana efficiency and - mana cost nodes on the explosive trap skill tree. -4 mana cost to throwing skill rings is only lowering my explosive trap mana cost from 16 to 15. I've been playing this build for a few days now and it seems to me that having a couple mana regen rolls early on is more than enough to support this build. And to be honest I question the viability of the - mana cost of throwing skills roll because of what I mentioned above.

I,ve been playing this build for some days now. It's insane that you just need the basics for this build to work (two daggers to make arrows 0 mana and the right skill nodes) and it will decimate everything, you just rush the game with low level gear like it's nothing. It feels like a Poison Concoction with auto aim.

For science, I just used all 13 of my runes of ascendence to try to get these daggers. Results: 4 x Drought's Release, 3 x Ferebor's Chisel, 3 x Smoke Weaver, 1 x Fulgurite Shard, 1 x Dragorath's Claw, 1 x The Ghost Maker. I've no idea whether character level influences the odds in any way (I rolled these from a lvl 95 char). I guess prophecies are the way to go for us CoF players! The build looks great though :) Update: 20 minutes and 2 dagger prophecies later, I'm now the proud owner 2 x 1 lp Jelkhors Blast Knife. Time to blast :)

Ascending is not random. There is a tool online that will show you the outcome of the ascension based on the items stats/forging power.

Playing level 65 Markman online, using Detonating Arrow in the traditional sense, trying to clear the Monolith quest chain part of the campaign. However, I have never found a single one of those runes that turns an item into a unique. I didn't even know they existed!

I think im missing something. My build dont seem to work... Got both daggers equipped, i do very low damage it seems. I have copied Raxxs build. In the vid Raxx says that if u have the daggers at say 36, you will delete everything even if the rest of your gear is yellow. Im sure thats true, but its not happening for me. It seems like there is something missing from my build, for it to work. Cant figure out what it is though...

Same thing was happening to me (at lvl 36) and I thought the build was broken. Once you drop a point into "trapas" in the explosive trap tree, you will see the difference.

ya i played that. if you invest into throwing damage aerial assault and the umbral blades do crazy damage. still nothing like this, but very good indeed. bird is op. scales with your stats in too many different ways.

If you have at least 4lp combined on both daggers, the best mod the one you must chase is melee lightning damage, even if it's a crafted one it's still better than anything else, because in detonating arrow passives you have 100% chance to shred lightning res, but both daggers only give you melee damage which doesn't work with that, this is a massive damage increase since the build hits so many times in a short time frame, you capped out by default.

I have a 4LP Sphere sitting in the bank waiting for a build. So thanks for finding it a home.... I'd been messing with almost the exact same build build for some time but was using a Bow and could not sustain the Mana (the usual Reign of Winter + Barbute + Sphere) so my lovely Sphere went back into the cupboard. I now see the way... trying it now. On that note, I have the perfect Relic to slam with my Sphere, however it is a Primalist relic. And yet It has no Primalist-specific affixes on it. Can I fuse that still have a neutral Relic my Rogue can use?

@@DrKeps I think it should work just fine. I plan on using the relic and head from this build with mourningfrost boots, frostbite shackles as gloves and prism wraps chest, while converting trap and detonating arrow to cold, at least that is the theory, need to see how it works in practice.

I don't like this delay. The best exploding throwing build is with two Jelkhor's Blast Knifes. Explosive trap + detonating arrow and you are just running through 1000+ corruption echos.

When you want something it never shows. Of the 434 hours I spent in Last Epoch, I have 3 of those daggers, and all on my legacy characters. I used to love playing the bladedancer, but the Flurry isn't as fun anymore and I don't like Umbral blades at all. I should just play with dancing strikes. I really liked Flurry in beta though. sigh.

Some pointers i wanted to share for people wanting to run this build: 1. you dont need armor shred on both daggers, if you can roll armor shred on gloves/neck, that is also fine. Just need one roll in general 2. you dont need all the uniques with lp, you can run them without, for people that are starting out with this build. *as Raxx already mentioned, you dont need alot to set this up, the minimum would be both daggers, relic and siphon of anguish **can even use decent exalted items on some slots 3. for rings you want to run lightning % if you feel you are lacking damage 4. you dont need the - mana cost on rings, it's QoL *if you are using the boots, that should help you alot with mana, can also run t7 experimental mana mod on belt(would be better) 5. you can run crit multi on neck instead of the suffixes, which would result in you being able to use 2x %health and +health stout idols instead of the crit multi + health adorned idol 6. since you are running peak of the mountain and IF you are not using siphon of anguish, you might want to take off the weak spot node on detonating arrow, so you can leech something *the additional point you can put into arcing blast

armor shred is a big factor in this builds damage, because it hits so frequently with the chains and traps and det arrow explosions. my gear is literal trash but i've focused on armor shred, getting as much as i can plus armor shred effect on chest, and even though i have trash gear i can still instantly kill t4 julra before her first attack goes off. its bonkers.

@@junk3996 that is somewhat true but you have to keep in mind overstacking armor shred is not necessary. that was my point since 3lp daggers with armor shred are hella expensieve. and yes you can stack armor shred, but you need to keep in mind that armor shred only lasts for 4 seconds. bosses die way before that. test your build at a dummy, let me know how many stack of armor shred you get before it refreshes.

@@zerxius556armor shred, for what it takes, is probably the #1 damage scaler for this build. it stacks infinitely and scales infinitely, meaning there is no ceiling. so the more you get the better it is no matter what. yes it has a max duration, as and you say bosses will die well before that, but they do so because by then you already have hundreds or thousands of armor shred stacks. it is never a negative thing. on the other hand, other scaling options have diminishing returns, if you will. if you already have 1000% inc dmg, another 100% isn't really going to mean much at all so for 3 mods, 2 armor shred on daggers and 1 armor shred effect on chest, you can do vastly more damage than any other mods you could replace those with.

How did you get a +30% movement speed on a slam? I thought t7 maxed at 25%, that's what my exalted boots say anyways when I alt+crtl for tool tip Edit - nvm mine is t6 not 7 lol

Something wrong here. On maxroll site, he is using only 1 ring with -mana (less mana used) and his explosive trap uses 3 mana. Me with same mana passives as him And 2 Rings with -mana i struggle with 13 mana on explosive. Is maxroll build bugged? Do i miss something?

This build is silly. At lvl 53 I beat campaign boss in idk 2-3 seconds? Reign of dragons boss at lvl 71 died before he could even do a single attack. Lagon didn’t get to do his phases. And sooo easy for gear. I’ll be disappointed if it gets nerfed bc it’s super fun to play!

Hey raxx, i like your builds and its the second i test after the wraitlord. But i must say this one bored me, in spit of the insane damages throw traps is not funny, and the survey is not easy, nobody loot all these legendary LP3 (especialy chest and ring). I have pushed into lvl 90 and leveling was very fun but endgame is hard. Have a good day and tank you for your job :)

This is legit. Once I hit 36 and was able to equip the daggers it was time to destroy and don't blink....you'll be doing empowered mono's before you know it.

1. Ward is fine. Nerfing ward would be an enormous mistake. 2. Sacrifice necro was nerfed and still blows away all other builds. Im running 600 corruption comfortably atm and entire screens melt around me while i do nothing but run around
