IMG is an excellent program. My hats off to them for playing all over the country. Just food for thought, MD did beat them 28-24, But the 2 games against Centennial were close. The 1st game, IMG won by a 2pt conversion 50-49 and the following year, it was 26-20 until Centennial lost the backup QB to injury in the 4th qtr and had to play with the 3rd string QB. If Centennial had their starter or the backup, it might have been a different outcome. IMG scored 2 TD's in the 4th. Just a reminder, Centennial didn't win the southern section in Ca that year or the State tile. MD also didn't win the southern section or the State title either. Lastly, Centennial is a "Public" school. Let that sink in. So when people from states like Florida and Texas get on here and say how their state is better than Ca, start using your mind. Ca has 40+ million people compared to about 20 million in Texas/20 million in Florida, how do you figure there's more talent. I'll make it simple for you. You have 1000 kids to choose for a basketball team and another has 10 kids. Who has a better shot of having the better team. It's just numbers. The only difference is Ca has more HS's so the talent is spread thinner. The best talent goes to the same schools in other states. That's why the support is crazy. Bigger stadiums, more support. The whole town goes to the HS games. In Ca, there are better things to do than go to just the HS games on Fri nights. That's why when Ca vs Texas all stars played for their series, Ca won all 4 matchups. It's not that Texas doesn't have great players, they do. But Ca has more. Numbers that's the key. Right now the starting QB's at Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, are all from Ca. Last yr there were more, ND, S Carolina, etc If there were half the HS's in Ca some of them wouldnt be playing right now. That's the problem with numbers.
