It’s autumn on our homestead in Norway, and we’re harvesting the last berries and fruits, as well as plenty of seeds for next year’s crops. The last herbs are gathered and hung up to dry, and just before the first frost of the season hits, I bring the pumpkins inside. We’ll doing a bit of cooking, making pumpkin soup in our off-grid farmhouse kitchen. Frost is settling in during the nights, but there’s still plenty to harvest during the day-cabbage and peas become a delicious cabbage stew, and voila: dinner is served, 100 prosent homegrown.
Our Norwegian "wild sheep", as always, are with us, and the Mangalitsa pigs are moved to the harvested potato patch to dig it up for next year’s planting. The muscovyducks are everywhere, keeping an eye on things, and our dear herding dog Akita follows me closely, always by my side. Join us for another little video from our simple, off-grid homestead life in the Norwegian woods.
