I just got done rewatching Ethos last life episode 1 and was taken aback by how.. good it was. Like, despite being completely improvised, with an essentially randomly generated plot, it started to resemble actual scripted drama. Like, with a few tweaks it could pass as the pilot to a medieval fantasy romance series about 2 40-year-old mormons bickering their way through a death game. I felt as if there was actual atmosphere and characterisation and subtext and themes. Its an exploration of loyalty and honesty. I think the combination of the narrative tension supplied by the boogeyman game mechanic, general roleplay competancy by most of the cast, and creative editing came together to create something that feels like it was carfully composed, rather than haphazardly thrown together. (I love how the basic premise is conveyed expositorilly through the form of strategically deployed and masterfully composited book and quill footage rather than through the usual narration with stock music)

OMG It's so amazing that everything has so many PVP kills and even though it's really rough with having someone being the boogieman and every team has to deal with that is hard especially their own teammates as well but it's all for the viewers to enjoy every video that they can have a really good excitement last life series.
