Wife asked someone on the CAMC stand at NEC about tent boxes on sites. They fetched a chap over to answer who turned out to be the top man and he couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Any issues must be below him and above the wardens. Always found the staff at head office fine when calling to book ferries or answer queries. Might call tomorrow and ask about refunds if travellers arrive on site and you decide to leave early. Must happen a lot.

My wife and I were on a campsite at Dunbar the other week and twelve travelling caravans turned up, not only did they take over the laundry but they seemed to just keep driving around the site especially late at night. The site manager said there was nothing they could do about them because they were members.

Nice one, Graham. I thought we were bad booking 6 weeks before we leave for France. Where are you heading. We leave for France on Tuesday. It seems a bit strange as I am typing this early hours of Thursday morning from Hong Kong. You truly are an International Caravan Vlogger reaching this far. 😂

We’re fairly inexperienced caravanners and just into our 70s. We loved going to France when our kids were young and would like to with our caravan but we’re really nervous about it having never done it before. Any tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I think the main thing is to take it easy. The only thing different is the side of the road you drive. Oh and the money and language🫨 Seriously, book things though the caravan club when first going, it’s easier and all in one place. Campsites are great and people are friendly. Just today a Belgium lady speaking in French was trying to help me (I wasn’t aware I needed help) but I got the gist of what she was saying. Most people are lovely 🥴

Go for it you’ll have a great time. The roads are very quiet. We travel with kids during school Hols, and i suppose if your retired you can go in May/June the roads are much quieter and the roads too!
