Me and my friends used to play a game we made up based on T-Macs 13 in 33 seconds. The goal was to recreate all of T-Macs makes without missing. If you missed we rotated so that everyone can play. Defender goes to offense, and the person playing offense sits out and waits for their turn. The thing is if you were on defense, you weren't just playing regular defense, you had to contest the shot the same way it happened in real life. And on offense you had to do the same moves and make the same shots T-Mac did. So it's a bit choreographed, for example the T-Mac pump fake and-1 three if you were on offense you do the same moves and if you are on defense you know the pump fake is coming but you have to jump anyways because were recreating the real life shots. The person on offense always has to jump into the defender and make the three with in-air contact. That was the hardest one and where most turns ended. It was always an "okay shit is getting real" moment if someone could make that shot on their turn. Also we'd always sing "The Greatest" by R Kelly at the top of our lungs when someone won lmao

Rockets comeback against the Spurs is still the most iconic one. Not only because of whom they beat and with defenses being much tougher back then but the way that they did it was even more impressive. I'm from a country in South Europe and I was probably around 10 when this happened , our local tv used to show replays of nba games during the day because of the timezone and I heard some older guys in my neighborhood saying mcGrady , this game just happened to be on tv and I seen this I could not believe it I was like damn the fantasy in my head of a heroic comeback is really happening, and that's how I found out what "mcGrady" is , i did not know the name is for a basketball player at all.
