So glad you enjoyed it and that I could take you along with me. The Kruger National park should be on everyone's bucket list and I hope that you do get to see it some day soon in person!

Some good sightings. What is your thoughts on game viewing around Pretoriuskop?

Hi Izak, so I have visited the camp three times now. The first two visits were not as productive as this trip but I did get some good birding done. Both previous trips were also overcast and or rainy and this helps given almost all routes out of the camp are east or south east. Driving directly east for the morning drives can be hard on the eyes but also makes the photography harder. There are great options out of the camp including this route I took as well as up to Skukuza either on the H1-1 via transport dam or the S1 and the Lake panic hide. Watch for hyena dens close to the camp gates, there was one on the road into camp a couple years back. And going in I was told of wild dogs on the road (S3). Pity about the problems at Numbi Gate but hopefully will be resolved soon!
