I sincerely feel sorry for the people who never gave this show a shot. I respect the sentiment. I loved Teen Titans growing up and seeing what Go has done makes me sad. But This show deserved a chance. It deserved your time. I'm just glad that despite the rushing it got a sparkling moment to shine. Every single fight scene was awesome, every story beat landed. Even the rushed ones. I loved this show. It's the thing that's gotten me into the TMNT. It deserved better. Let's just hope it isn't the Last of the Real Ones.

When I watched this show, I loved the comedy and art style. Then when I found out how each turtle's design matches their species, it made me love it even more. Red-eared sliders have red marks near the eyes (Leo), Box turtles are known for having bright orange and yellow marks on their bodies (Mikey), Donnie wears a metal shell since he's a soft-shelled turtle and doesn't have much protection. Finally, snapping turtles are known for being much larger, having a spikey shell, and a hooked beak (Raph's snaggletooth). OOOOOOHHHH I LOVE IT AND THIS SHOW NEEDS A THIRD SEASON!!!!!

When I was little I never like liked tmnt but i also didn't have a negative enough opinion of it to hate. So I watched this with no expectations on grandeur and I got more than I couldve asked for. I can now truthfully say im a tmnt fan, like seriously the animation, plot, humor is all just A+++ to me and I'm so glad I'm not biased and was able to give it a chance. I wish others would too because this show doesn't deserve to fall into obscurity.

I actually recently picked up thr show on netflix and binged it-- I know I'm pass ep 20 of season 1 I always thought I didn't watch any of the shows- but then the 2012 one came to mind and the fact I used to play an old game I had for the game cube. The show is really nice, I really like the art style, it's simple but very expressive and colorful. And thr animation is just yes. My Dad said its like everything else which is interesting? Which I guess makes sense even though I disagree? I remember I saw little previews for the show back in 2016 but I honestly thought it was gonna be like every other kids show, a ton of toilet humour and other stuff. But I like how the show doesn't have that and also has its own way of humour. I like how there's a story and it builds up, I like how the series is both serious and light hearted almost. I think my favourite shot from the series is when Draxum goes into the Shredder amour like that scene was so pretty and fluid and just nice to watch. The whole series has the anime feel to it.

I will be forever angry at Nick and everyone nostalgia blind for bad mouthing this show and it’s story. It’s such an important story and narrative It’s a story about family, grief, forgiveness, acceptance, love and kindness. The writers were not afraid to take a new direction with the characters and story. Splinter may not be an amazing trainer for decades sensei but I like it better this way, he’s a father first and sensei second, even though he’s not the best at it and you have to see him “rise” to the role of being an active father The whole story of Rise really breaks down the iterations of past TMNT. Splinter is a father to the turtles, Leo isn’t the leader, Splinter actively ran away from his training to defeat Shredder, The turtles actually behave like ACTUAL TEENAGERS??! Wow! And they get to behave and be teenagers while still being fun characters that are not static, their teen hood isn’t just defined by pizza, skateboarding, video games and crushes. They all have their struggles as characters, Donnie isn’t just the “tech guy” he has trouble connecting with people and wants validation to belong somewhere, Mikey isn’t just “the energetic one” he’s caring and compassionate, he’s the first to forgive and besides Raph, takes a lot of personal responsibility on patching together their family. Leo isn’t “the leader” so he’s a bit cocky but he’s also eager to prove himself as someone who’s reliable enough for his family to depend on. And Raph, he’s not the big angry guy, he’s hardly actively violent especially not towards his own brothers. Raph is the oldest and takes responsibility for his brothers, he loves his brothers and worries about them, but he’s also hard on himself and puts a lot of pressure on himself due to his own self projected expectations of being “The Leader” He’s struggled with his anger problems in the past and it’s clear that he doesn’t like that part of himself, because it’s something that hurts his brothers. I love Rise and how much deeper characterization they gave these turtles, I love it so much. I hope Netflix puts up the second season and we get that movie soon.

I WAS THERE GANDALF. jokes aside, i've been with this show since the very beginning -- it being my first foray into the ninja turtles universe (other than the live action movies with megan fox) -- so i didn't understand some longtime fans ire of this show, especially with his beautiful the animation is and the FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY, and sure maybe it was the jokey nature, but i loved it. so to see this whole video as the culmination of the epic story this television show told makes me very emotional because it's validation!! Everyone who supported this show was right, it was so much more than what everyone was saying/panning it to be. this is well out together, i am near tears with how you flowed the entire arc(s) together from beginning to end chronologically, because the whole story in bits and pieces n out of order. thank you for sharing this with the world.

Watch. Through. Season. 1. It does soft world building, not hard world building. You will not understand the show in 3 episodes. Give it season 1, not the entire show, JUST season 1. The episodes sent to youtube for free got me interested to see what they would do and I was horrified. Those episodes are some of the weakest of the entire show. Period. It gets 10x better after the first half of season one and gets better as the show goes on.

I’ll be honest, when I first saw the designs I was nearly going to pass on the show entirely but after seeing the first episode on KZbin I then decided to give the show a try because I’m a TMNT fan, I saw parts of the old cartoon, I liked 2003, I enjoyed the dark places that 2012 took so why wouldn’t I give Rise a shot? And after a couple of episodes, there were parts that had me laughing, some things I wasn’t even expecting, I love the animation as it’s a treat to the eyes and shows a lot of care, in past iterations I always felt like Splinter wasn’t close to the turtles he calls his ‘sons’, in 2012 there were decisions he made that were mind boggling, 2003 version was ok but Rise felt like an actual character with faults, you could say that about the other versions as well but Rise felt more like a parent, an I love how the brothers feel like actual brothers and enjoy eachothers time with each other and April I was sad when I found out that it got cancelled and with the movie out on Netflix I am just wondering what could’ve been! I’d love to see more of these characters in future but who knows

Rise deserves a lot more recognition. I settled in on the couch one night to write and always go to Netflix and choose a cartoon I believe I won’t get into so I can have background noise while writing. I chose the movie. As an action writer, when the first ten seconds had explosions, that grabbed my attention. I didn’t get any writing done that night. I finished the movie then started on the show, and I have zero regrets.

I was REALLY skeptical of this show when it first started, having been far too used to the 2003 and 20212 versions and being more comfortable with Leo being leader, Raph being the team's hot-head, Donnie being the team's metal head (more into cars/machines than tech), and Mikey being the lovable goofball. My brother and I weren’t really huge on the art style for this show, honestly. We liked ideas behind it. Using myths of shinobi magic to inspire how the boys fight, each brother being a different species of turtle, Shredder being the final boss, showing the boys to act like actual teenagers with assholish behaviors...That’s what really got me interested. While he’s not into the look of it, I’ve found this show’s use of dramatizing everything has made it a forerunner in TMNT history. The early 2000s series and that of 2013 were where the stories peaked, yet this show told everyone that TMNT’s not done. This AMV highlights everything this show’s got going for it. Shredder’s actual ravager-like behavior, Splinter’s humanity, the boys being boys, every loss this family has experienced from their ancestors to the present day and the final battle’s maddening degree of *awesome*. Doesn’t matter who you are, this show’s finale was kickass. The crew behind it knew that they’re turning off so they pulled out every stop and made this show’s send off as good as gold, because there ain’t a damn thing I can think of they didn’t use in that final fight. Shredder went all out and so did they. This was a killer ending and, even if you hate the art style, the sheer awesomeness can’t be understated

I rly slept on this show, huh? ;w; Literally the only thing that kept me from even givin it a chance was Splinter's chubby rat design since I was so warmed up and accustomed to the sleek rat design from the 2012 show. I still dislike the design but god damn am I gonna go watch this show now ;w; I feel like I missed out :< Didn't know it had drama and angst in it and god dayum dat animation tho! I just wanna say thanks. I was interested in the series, but it was always a “I’ll get to it later” sort of thing, with only a vague interest because of my love for TMNT. Then this amv got this song relentlessly stuck in my head. I finally found a streaming service to watch it on (Paramount connected to Amazon Prime) and my God… the story telling is simply above and beyond. Is it continually silly? Yes. And I love that, because then the real talk and serious drama hits you out of no where and leaves you screaming at the screen. Thank you so much for convincing me to watch it. Also- you somehow managed to perfectly capture the intensity of all the fight scenes in this series. I was prepared for you to have pulled only the most epic stuff and be disappointed- nope. It’s just that fluid and bombastic. Love it.

To me, TNNT was a great childhood and ROTTMNT has given me the same excitement as a 11 year old kid. 2012 was when I first knew about TMNT. It gave me the joy, action and emotion always wanted from cartoons. What was nickelodeon thinking of stopping the show?!? I literally cried when I heard rumors about the cancellation. This show...and this AMV, are some of the BEST. THINGS. EVAR! I'd say this is Nickelodeon's BEST show SINCE Avatar The Last Airbender. It is SO rare to find a show that is fun, funny, has no unnecessary romance, has characters that have fantastic chemistry, family that loves each other, teenagers that act like teenagers, women written with respect, baller animation that does not quit, and just oozes love and care from it's creators. This is a show that is SO GOOD, it not only deserves to come back, but for it's original creators to have a chance to realize the vision of seven seasons, and a restored season 2! This video fully encompasses the energy, humor, and hope of this show, and the show has SO MUCH MORE TO OFFER TOO! Don't give up! Keep asking Nickelodeon for more! Tell them you want this show back!
