There's a reason creator videos about manufacturer announcements. They are /unbiased/ whereas a manufacturer's own video will extol the virtues of their product and gloss over any issues.

Maybe Steve Budd rails against personality because he doesn't have one? For all the faults of social media (and they're not the faults of the media itself, but only of the users) it has overturned how we interact with the world outside our personal borders. It has utterly democratised the entertainment and news industries - no longer do we have to content ourselves with consuming what we are told to, when we are told to and by who we are told to. We can choose what to consume and when to consume it, be that this channel or that channel, this topic or that topic. Steve Budd needs to learn the world is a diverse place and that he is not mandated to participate in, or enjoy, any part of it he doesn't wish to.
