You took the words right from my mind. I guess the brass believes that a score is around the corner but he doesn’t look like his confidence is there at this moment. Hopefully he gets it though good timer of the ball

Get the feeling everyone else is pretty comfortable with where they’re batting not going drop Connor to the 2s as he can be dangerous with the ball 🤷🏻‍♂️ got to back him as much as they can, damned if you do damned if you don’t sort of scenario

Yeah I hate to jump back on the Connor needs to be dropped down the order train, but the side looked so much better balanced when he was away. Needs to be dropped down to 7/8 and come in later. TBCC also don’t take enough wickets in the power play. I’d like to see George Cave given an opportunity with the new ball instead of him.

i would like to see lucking go way up the order and replace connor hes batting way better than him at 10 and taking double the wickets.

Have noticed this all year, lucking is significantly more dangerous against the right handers. As soon as a left hander gets after him his length gets disrupted.

Off spinner bowling to a right hander i would expect a cow corner (Midwicket) & Long on in the field as those 2 are the easiest boundary options for right hander, the same with left armer bowling to a left handed batsman... Square leg, cow corner & long on then just protect the boundary

Message for Capt Joe! Deep extra cover for George Cave would be an attacking field placement. You’ll get catches there off his bowling. Unlucky on the LBW Connor. But great leave by Russ - he obviously heard the No ball call and took the 4 byes instead! 😜

Tough game but some very good performances from the oppo Avinou looks like a quality bowler - has a bit of a Tim Southee action. Will Beer looks elite too - his wrongun almost unplayable from the footage

The standard of the Sussex league is exceptional. The pitches, the youth and talent of the players is outstanding why do Sussex not win the County Championship every year? Is there a problem between the County set up and the clubs?

I don’t know exactly where your from but here the Essex , Hertfordshire and Surrey league is stacked aswell more so than Sussex (maybe not Hertford)

Yes the section to the left is very slow despite being on a downward slope. I can only guess that the months of rain left it so wet where the water runs off down there that it still isn't fully fry underneath.

@@Wally-H very much so! Love how he plays spin especially to the ball turning away from him, backing away to make room, then reversing or slog sweeping. Can’t set a field to it, brilliant to watch

Heartbreak loss guys. Dont really like this format, whereby the second team batting has a run chase with 6 overs left. Maybe should have played out for a draw after going 7 down, and Ben Lucking being caught on the boundary. Great effort though to chase the runs down. The beers probably didnt taste so good afterwards, but you go again next saturday. Heads up
