I mean, she didn't do it before. At that point then, she knew that her life was forfeit and that she would be killed, anyway. Maybe not a public execution yet, but more hits on her head. It was only resonable to talk then. She literally had nothing to lose, not even her life. So in a way, Kim forced her to do the one thing he didn't want her to do. The source is a known anti-North Korean tabloid company from South Korea, also known for publishing stories with questionable sources at best. They published a story about some North Korean diplomat being executed in some insane fashion too, only for that diplomat to show up two days later totally not executed. Also, the story doesn’t even make sense. Kim Jong-Il would publicly execute an ex-lover, a famous and well beloved movie actress in the country, whom he was trying to hide from the public so they wouldn’t learn about their past sexual affairs, then orders her brutal public execution in front of 6,000 Pyongyang residents, on the charges of exposing their past affair to some police at the hospital? Yeah, that makes zero sense. If a story doesn’t make sense, question it a little, look into the sources, there are no credible sources at all. You really can just make up anything and Westerners will believe it because they don’t view North Koreans as intelligent, multidimensional, free willed human beings.

A "mutual criticism session" is a communist thing by the way, originally invented in the USSR, but really popularized by Mao and, subsequently, by the Kim regime. The idea makes some sense in a vacuum, it's good to be able to self-criticize and self-analysis as a whole is a good thing to practice. But ultimately it was a way to put continual pressure on people to reveal all their secrets, either so you can punish them or use the information as blackmail. And if you are ever discovered doing something the regime disapproves of, it's extra ammunition for sham trials "Why did you never admit you did this?". It's also just kinda used to break people down.

Im not sure how accurate this can be because its been so long but Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès looks suspiciously like a man I served a few times at the Ealing Common Sainsburys store in West London England back some time in late 2011 and early 2012. I seem to remember him very clearly or somebody that looked just like him because I was a kid back then and it was my first proper job, I had a lot of social anxiety back then and tried to avoid eye contact with customers when I was working on the checkout but this guy made a point to look me in the eyes and smile. I never forgot that because nobody else did that. He came in to buy food over the course of a few days, he was also dressed as a priest with a greyish coat on but it was slightly unzipped so you could clearly see his collar. Now its been so long so maybe this was just a random priest visiting London around the early 2010s trying to be nice to me but I could swear his face is a spitting image. So lets say he did escape it would have been pretty easy for him to sneak into the UK from the EU if he had connections and is/was hiding in the clergy, also this was before the Brexit so you could still freely move between the EU and the UK. I had only heard of this case now and the reason it brings back memories was because of the strange smiling and eye contact brings back very vivid memories for me because I worked in that store for years and it was one of my early customers.. Or maybe Ive just got the wrong guy here, its been so long. I will say though that from that part of London you could get very far away very quickly, Ealing Common Tube station is literally across the road, and then they thought suspected a man at Glasgow airport was him, so maybe there is something about him sneaking to the UK but getting away.

As a person that lives in Nantes that watches your videos, I pass almost every week in front of this man's house and it gives me chills. The father of a friend of mine who was an architect, remembers meeting Agnès to do some work at that same house. Nobody knows if he's still alive. Some people have said to see him but never reported. I'm surprised you talked about him in this video and its even scarier when you show the street i used to pass everyday to go to school.

Fucked things happen so that means the world is fucked? That'd be just a true as beautiful, kind gestures happen in the world so the world is beautiful and kind. The truth probably lies in the middle somewhere. This might be mind-blowing but... the world isn't black and white. Whatever you choose to pay attention to will have an influence in how you percieve the world. Just keep that logic in mind before making an emotionally inspired blanket statement in order to remain self-aware and avoid becoming delusional. In other words, leave room in your mind to ALWAYS consider the possibility that whatever extreme conclusion you come to just might possibly be wrong. Keep an open mind, an open heart and open eyes. Don't allow your mind to become weak therefore leaving you vulnerable to emotional manipulation as hinted in your comment. Good luck.

'A mutual criticism session' or 'self criticism session' is a concept that comes from Maoist thought. It was believed to be a better revolutionary, a party member would have to engage in this process where they would reveal and review their own failings within a group setting. However, these meetings have often devolved into serious sessions of psychological and physical torture by the very people they were supposed to share a common goal with. In Japan, this was what was behind the famous Asamo Sanso incident.
