People often think those involved with running a funeral home are somehow off-kilter, that having a career working with the dead is reserved for the “emotionally absent.” But what does it take to constantly face death, to guide bereaved families through the worst day of their lives? Last Responders details the stories of four Wichita Falls funeral home workers as they navigate the emotional and intricate process that goes into preparing the deceased for their final earthly experience - as well as the families they leave behind.
