Went? They were 100% a radio band from the very first record. 15 singles over 4 records, 10 of them went to number 1 in the US, 8 of them certified platinum, 4 of them gold. Not to mention all of the features Adam Gontier did on other artists songs that were certified gold and platinum. Talking like they weren’t writing songs to be picked up for radio until right before he left. He knew that Three Days Grace was a radio band and was totally okay with it. He’s spoken about how much of a priority it is to have music on the radio. It’s the only way to make a decent living playing music. Radio play leads to people attending concerts. Concert attendees buy records and merchandise. They’ve always been a radio band. If anything they’re less of a radio band now that he left since the records with Matt Walst aren’t seling for shit.
