I didn’t realize BK had so many options over there - for a second I thought I missed something and you guys weren’t vegan anymore. 😅 in the states we only have the impossible whopper - a vegan chicken sandwich sounds yummy!

The plant based whopper isn't certified as vegetarian or vegan in the UK as it is cooked with meat meaning it is contaminated with meat juices. That is why BK are only allowed to call it plant based and not vegan - the idea of it was to encourage meat eaters to reduce their meat intake.

@@kabi13 certified vegan or not, it’s still an option for a lot of people. It’s vegan enough for me, but I will only call myself plant based bc of the amount of nit picking in the world. Cross contamination is a personal decision whether or not to worry about. 🤷🏼‍♀️
