One rule of thumb I learnt in uno, don't keep the special cards too long. You may want to plan how to use them but don't overplan because the colour will most probably change before you get a chance to play them. Then the score you get at the end is higher. And as a fall safe, don't play colour changes unnecessarily, especially if if your partner has a few cards left because someone may try to change the colour after your partner hits uno

If you ever wanna try UNO with a twist, make it so that every time someone plays a 7, that player can switch their hand with anyone else and anytime someone plays a 0, everyone's hand moves over one based on the direction of play. It makes the game a lot more interesting I think and also risky at the same time. Love you guys!
