Arrival and departure of the last passenger service of the day towards Baramullah, captured at Sopore in the picturesque Kashmir valley. Sopore is geographically the northern most railway station in India and the town of Sopore is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal range and the Himalayan range. During winters, the railway in Kashmir operates with a different timetable and lesser number of trains each way. The first train service begins at 7.00 am and last train reaches Baramullah at 5.50 pm. Kashmir Valley Railway or Kashmir Trains follow two different time-tables for Winter (November to March) and the rest of the year. Currently the trains that operate in Kashmir are DMUs and once the railway section between Katra and Banihal is complete, the Kashmir Valley Railway gets integrated with the rest of Indian Railway network and we could see express trains reaching the valley from all around the country. This could result in massive boost to the tourism in Kashmir.
