They can not put a fence up, it would be so dangerous for the horse and guard. If the horse spooks it's straight into the fence, plus it's a public footpath they can not block it permanently with barriers.

Und das dann noch einige 'Deepen' das ganze auch noch herrausforden wollen. Ich habe mir die Videos der Guards and Horse öfter angeschaut, man konnte von regelrechter Belagerung der Guards and Horse sprechen. Und dann dieses ständige Befingern der Horse und auch der Guards, oder das fassen ins Geschirr. Mein Lieber Schwan! Dieses auf die Pelle rücken war unglaublich, da haben wirklich alle ihr Gehirn ausgeschaltet. Das die Guards jetzt auch noch!!! Ansagen machen müssen, weil Schilder und Weisse Linie trotzdem nicht reichen und die Leute ihr Gehirn und die Augen nicht benutzen, ist einfach nicht begreiflich. Aber vergeben sie mir, ich habe manchmal gedacht die Ansagen hätten schon früher kommen müssen. Schliesslich machen die Guards and Horse einen harten Job und sind keine Ausstellungsstücke.

There were several major injuries to visitors caused by the horses just before the rules changed. (All injuries were results of stupid or careless actions by the visitors.) The changes, likely, were more for legal concerns than consideration for the horses.

this guard is a disaster the lady before him was great but this one he lets them pet the horse and stand inside the box, young dark skinned guard and he just sits and lets them do what they want and once they see one do it they all do it and he sits there and lets them even he let a baby rub the horse he never stopped it it just sat there, if he can't do his job put someone who can hem looks scared of the people and scared to tell them off I guess he dosen't need to do his job The ladies are so much better they are better guards tell the boss to smarten up the ones who do not do their job

Certainly mkes you wonder does'nt it? I have a disabled pass for the bathroom, but I would never use it to stand closer to the horse. It's for use when I am in the city shopping and need the bathroom quick, I have Crohn's/ Colitis and had a lot of surgery, it's not a passport to allow me to do what he intends to do. there for one reason only. Some people abuse their disability passes and that is wrong, it makes other people believe every disabled person is like them, entitled. I only use mine for the purpose I have it for, nothing else.

Realizing not everyone can read English, ie the sign. But a white line is pretty universal. This guard is both firm and respectful (and consistent) in making sure the public respects the rules.

Alhamdulillah! I am so happy that they are not allowed to touch the horses anymore. I come from a farm in animals are wonderful creatures but you don't mess with them. The fact that those horses stand there for so long at a time and were allowed to be petted and prodded for so many years is just disgusting. I'm so happy to see that this is being dealt with finally.
