DSC is basically your core courses where everyone persuing the course will have the same DSC. Such as if you're doing Maths Hons your DSC will be three core topics from maths. While AEC,GE ,VAC and SEC are additional courses floated throughout colleges where you have options to select according to your choice. You can take a look on official sites for options in respective Vac sec and others

Hey zoya, i really appreciate the hard work you put in your beautiful and aesthetically pleasing vlogs. So i'm from science background and i got bsc Hons in geology in hansraj. I have never studied the subject and i've no interest in studying it either. I got soooo friggin stupid and reordered my preferences on the basis of ranks and voila! This was apparently my 5th preference. I couldn't stop crying when i got consciously aware of the blunder that i'd made but now it is what it is and i don't think i've any chances of getting into my higher preferences because they were phy, maths, chem in stephens and anthropology in hansraj. Can you please tell me a lil' bout geology if even it is a course worth studying for 4 next years of my life ? 'cause if not I don't wanna waste my next 4 years studying something in which i've zero interest Please help me out man. I sooo depressed

hello! I'm so sorry but I have absolutely no idea about this course. I'd suggest you do as much research as you can, thoroughly go through the course structure and syllabus and scope and maybe try connecting with someone who's doing this course before making a decision. meanwhile I'd suggest you to upgrade your seat just in case you get a higher preference. there's also a provision in NEP to change your course after the 1st year, so look into that too and whether it's been implemented in hrc. decide wisely, all the best!

ok so im from sci bg too(phy hons, MH) and what i'd say is that u can search up geology, there are always more options than we think! also, u can do a minor in ur subject of choice(phy,math,chem,comp sci, eco etc) and then u can do masters in that subject.
