Iberá National Park in northeastern Argentina is part of one of the largest wetlands in South America, but much of its wildlife went extinct in the 20th century due to widespread hunting and habitat loss. Now, a dedicated team of conservationists is working hand in hand with local communities to reintroduce many of the keystone species that were lost, while also helping to preserve the region's unique cultural heritage. If you want to learn more about the conservationists work you can read this article on our website: on.natgeo.com/3eE5WKy

This video tells us a story of the animals people love enough to give them freedom. What a beautiful world this could be if we all shared love for one another and for nature. How beautiful it is to see people working together for the good of us all.

Thank you brother, I really like your country, it is very beautiful and it has very cute animals. I also know that agriculture there is growing a lot, that's fine but always with care, here in Argentina we let agriculture grow without chains and our "pampas" that used to be large savannas with huge herds of llamas and deer, small groups of wild pigs and ñandues, with jaguars and pumas behind the herds of herbivores, ended up disappearing, leaving today fields of soy, wheat and corn and many cows. The people of Indonesia must not allow the same mistake to be made as in Argentina, they must leave their huge jungles with their elephant monkeys and deer growing free.

Incredibly moving and a tribute to the dedication of all those involved. Also gives me joy to know that many of the animals released would otherwise never have had a worthwhile life, contributing to the survival of their species and of the habitats. It's also great to see zoo bred animals being used in this project, because it's a testimony to the fact that responsible zoos can in fact return species to the wild.
