@@NickMango you got to admit these trick tools make any job way easier. I couldn’t tell you how many times I had numb fingers all day trying to get a old connector off something. These pliers are worth their weight in gold.

@@markm0000I think if you’re an organized guy and keep all your tools in the spot they belong, a speciality tool pays for itself. I agree with you. As soon as you can’t find it though, it’s over haha.

@@NickMango ow yeah my box is super organized. I couldn’t fit half the stuff I have if it was all thrown around randomly.

I just made a set using an old pair of slipjoint pliers and 2 5.5mm Allen wrenches, experimenting is a must with tools and cars. They turned out quite well

Another great episode!!

Nice video. I have a set of the Jing Pin pliers but mine are chrome with the green handle. I also have the Lisle pair and the nice thing about those is that they can also be used to pull out the locking tabs on the connectors that use those and then depress the release tab. Lisle also just came out with a pistol grip connector plier that has the same ends as the straight pair. I just got those the other day. I will probably pick up those Merry ones as they look very nice.

Would hose grip pliers like Knipex 38 91 200 work in this application?
@markm00003 ай бұрын
No because the tips are smooth and all the grip is in the area that you’re meant to use on the hose. These connector pliers have grip on the very tip.

The merry have the same body as some Japanese snap ring pliers I have. I wonder if they sell just the tip so I can install it in my snap ring pliers.

i've been using my ring nose pliers. not perfect.. but they have pulled about as many connectors as they have hoses.

Exactly Leslie disconnect disappointed by me 2. Over hyped and I bought it. Huge mistake on my part. I can't remember which side to use when ur eye can't figure out in tide spots. I am trying not to waste money by not watching these youtube tictoc sales channels any more. However powerful marketing,ur channel as well.

Merry also has another version
@johnnyolson2586 ай бұрын
The Lisle works pretty well but man I wish they'd find a better manufacturer to make them because they look and feel so cheap. The merry is more versatile and by far the nicest. There's another pair made by KTC, another Japanese company, that are a very similar design as the merry. It has tips that can be swapped out (KTC Connector Housing Pliers AD10) But they cost about $80 and they have some pretty bad reviews from people when compared to the Lisle and merry pliers for some reason.
