Your son has some real skill. Good shit. Its great to see that he appreciates the classic games. I have the same issue. Now that I got the emulation PC set up again recently, and the huge backlog of unfinished 360,ps3,ps4,wii u games, etc prior to that, its difficult to focus on one game at a time. Even when new games just come out. There definately isnt enough time to complete everything, so I mostly play the games that stand out the most to me. I often go back to the older games for the challenge and satisfaction. Plus they have a distinct feel and gameplay was king back then. Love all types of games but newer and older games have unique differences over eachother.

I remember playing Ghost n Goblins when I was about 4-5 years old. And it was pure torture! A kid playing such hard games when could barely read what was on screen was tough as nails. Watching Luke playing these games really takes me back, wish I still had my C64. Also a minor suggestion from my side, if its possible it would be nice to have 3 videos a week sometime. It doesn't have to be a regular thing, but since now you are doing Last Gamer full time, would be quite nice to have them thrice a week. Also waiting for the Story mode director's cut version to come out, and then continue with it please, eagerly waiting for that. My suggestion for the section are: 'Fan-boxing' or 'From Fans, with Love. (kind of like James Bond reference there). Keep them coming!

The different coloured boxes may well be a small change but I feel like it makes a huge difference, the red looks much nicer than the yellow so I'm glad to hear that you'll be having them colour coded for each section Joel. Look at Luke go! He's clearly really into Ghosts 'N Goblins there which is fantastic to see, good to see a classic game being enjoyed by someone from the younger generation. I feel old after typing that last sentence out, still... all is well, keep up the good work and again it's good to see all these small changes adding up to what will hopefully be an even brighter future for this already amazing channel.

You could always slap a blue sticker on fan boxes and maybe a red sticker on developer/contacts/friends boxes. It might help keep things organised, and you could then name the segment by colour. For example "Blue Box Treasures - Volume 1" or "Red Box Loot - Volume 1" Just an idea :)

Thanks for the update, the room is coming along nicely. Your son sure is becoming a hardcore gamer, probably whoops the ass of anyone his age on these retro games. As for the new section instead of "What's in the Box?" I would just add a word and call it "What's in the Mail Box?"

At least the shelves around the wall area would better have double depth. Then there would be more flexibility - e.g. put some related item infront of the games - and it would't reach inside of the room too much. Also it wouldn't have so much the feeling of "don't touch, otherwise it will slip out of the shelf".Additionally, you should compact the shelves within the room more. Then you can easily gain more space for more stuff. But of course ... don't forget to move the room around to a different location when completed ;)!

Joel, if you know of someone in a similar setting as yours that has received gifts from fans to what if any negative consequences they went through. I for one had two customers that gave very nice gifts and their expectations later, were way out of line and not really appropriate. My suggestion for the new segment name: - What's in your Box? - What's in the PO Box? Lol - What's in the Box: Last Gamers Edition - What's in the Box: MLG Edition (Mail for Last Gamer) I don't know if they're good, but I do know I will be getting one of those shirts! Also, painting the PlayStation cabinet/shelf gray is kinda dull compared to the rest (red for Nintendo, green for Xbox, etc.,...), Why not paint it with the colors of the original PlayStation logo? (Yellow, Blue-Green, Blue, Red). Just another suggestion. Love the videos Joel!

I Like the idea of t shirts, personally the racing game I'm looking forward to if Forza 7 I've always been a big fan of Forza my favourite one of the series being Forza 4 so many great cars and tracks to pick from and great multiplayer on that game if its anything like that I'm sold. Horizon 3 was awesome too especially running at ultra on the PC with the 21:9 ratio support, racing games on an ultrawide screen is excellent

Your son's an Ace! Taking on classics like Makaimura!? I'd be super proud. It's got to be the hardest but most worthwhile game I've ever played. It's sequels equally superb. Daimakaimura, Choumakaimura and Goku (PSP). Who can name a favorite? I still think the X68000 has the best midi score for Daimakaimura. It almost sounds like a Danny Elfman score for a Tim Burton film. IMO 'Demon World Village' sounds so much cooler than Ghosts 'n Goblins.

It is so funny you say about our first world problem of having so many great games come out and not being able to finish them. It is my biggest thing with gaming and is the only thing that gives me a type of anxiety, although it is a good type of anxiety I guess. But you feel like you are either wasting money or not doing the devs justice. Plus then you go back and play them sometimes and you have to relearn controls but you are at the hardest part of game floundering a bit like a beginner. Also I have had to learn, although failing at it, not to worry about trophies as I waste time on that when I probably could have finished game but then go onto something new. This time of year all the great titles come out too. I think I an trying to only buy what I really want but that is still like 8-10 titles before mid November and there my bare necessities. Then this year COD WWII looks good January I am getting collector's edition Nino Kuni 2. Revenant Kingdom. Basically I will have to try and finish each game before the other comes out. But then I have the problem of being hooked on destiny 2 plus I always want to get Fifa. But Destiny 2 and Fifa demand so much time plus the driving games. I mean you can probably just buy Fifa, Destiny 2 and just play them for a year by themselves out even add in a driving game. But then what about the usual 20-50 games that come out that feel like a must play. It is the biggest problem on gaming today and with all the fantastic titles this year. I think one of the best years for a while. How do you deal with these modern title problems Joel. I mean you have another 22,000+ games on to of that? Doo you only buy a few modern titled or are you buying like 50 to 70 like some of us tragics. I mean I am buying titles for ps4, vita, Xbox one s, pc, new 3ds xl, nintendo, and even occasionally my phone since they are actually porting real gaming titles now like some final fantasy, some tell tale games, those wuite fun hit man games, Lara croft one, Terraria and other indie titles. I would like to know if this is your biggest stress since you have worse than all of us probably. At least you have your son to play them as well so you are getting great value out of games you buy. Would love to know how you decide on modern titles or of you just play a few then wait for others you want to play but wait for them to go on sale since it doesn't take long these days and they are cheap. I mean I saw Titanfall 2 for $25 yesterday and that's not even a year.
