I so agree he doesn't waffle. If I am sewing and following a video I stop it at intervals and this is an ideal one. Others waffle on so much that I lose the plot and will to live. What a great video

I could have cried when I watched this. I've been struggling with a different method for sooo long and this is so straightforward. Much easier to understand with a clear demo too rather than trying to work out someone's badly written instructions. Tried it last night and all the stress of doing a pocket just rolled away. This is one of the best tutorial for welt pockets. I've been sewing for years and could never master this technique until I viewed this video. I tried making some welt pockets a few years ago, and it was not the easiest process. Seeing this, now, makes it look like a piece of cake. I'm going to try again, as I'm poised to make some slacks, but I'm going to have to figure out how I make my welts the same as the outer fabric, and then the pocket bag completely of another fabric. My slipshod sewing journey continues.
