Arron, You could save your server, admins, and players a lot of grief by using Tiered Tech Blocks mod. 250 gyros and 200 thrusters per large ship can really lag down a server.

Yeah but what's the fun in that lol. Space Engineers has a lot of potential but at the moment it just isn't worth the headaches. I've been building in Minecraft for 10 years. Which I'm still not even close to reaching it's limit. Which is only starting to lag a bit now. Even with fewer Gyros I find it to be a Major Payne lol. I've only been able to get a couple of players doing pretty much nothing. Which lags the server pretty hard. Not sure what the solution is though. Other then upgrading their servers or maybe going to a persistent one. :/

@@willbrack7069 Most servers have banned Gravity and Clang drives and there is no weight distribution. I personally would have loved to see mass-based thruster vectoring. But as we all know, you could put all your thrusters at the back of a long ship and the high mass front end doesn't tip down.

@@BlazinNSoul the scale of SE and Minecraft is leagues different. The physics calculations alone dwarf Minecraft in terms of stressing the machine. Btw, if you want to see Minecraft lag, you don't need to go much further than sand/gravel blocks that have some limited physics to them. If you trigger enough of them to fall at the same time, it can lag up a lot. Also, the most demanding thing about Minecraft is arguably redstone machines, which are the equivalent to SE's programmable blocks, and their potential is vastly different. I think it's a problem of available technology. I'd like to believe Keen has just poorly optimized the game or that the netcode is shit or whatever, but they've now spent years dedicated almost solely to improving multiplayer, and while the improvements have definitely been made, it's still pretty lacking. I'm starting to fear that either the consumer tech isn't there yet to make a game like SE a reality for a greater number of concurrent players, or that there's something wrong in their engine that is so deep-rooted it just cannot be fixed. Maybe some sort of SE2 version of the game _could_ address that, but it's hard to say.

Aden Ven it is a problem with the games engine when it was first created it wasn't designed to support multiplayer gameplay and now years later the engine is old and doesn't work as well as current ones yet keen and the SE player base keep pushing the limits of the engine and eventually something is going to fail

Heavily in the clone wars era. 3 engines in the stern resemble an Aquantis Class Cruiser, the bridge resembles a Venator Class Star Destroyer, and the bow and middle reminds me of a Consular Class Cruiser. The ship itself looks mostly inspired by the Consular Class Cruiser tho

They already had the gulf, before the water mod, they might try that again with the water mod, hopefully the dont have to do a second week restart and wipe again. FEDs ship likely won't see action, having been a member of fed for a while to have to ask permission to fight, and the server is so politically heavy that even flying over someone's base the wrong way gets people super salty. FED rarely fights, they live and die by Obie, a moderator who doesn't play often because of irl commitments, which is fine, that's life. One time because I did pvp, he ordered me to build a flower in survival and I wasn't allowed to play in the server until it was done...

I always tried to get such bases being made, but since I'm solo player with no friends and not exactly great imagination (I'd work better with logistical setup than aesthetics), I always get stuck one main room after blast doors. And I often try to use elevator-like idea to make it more underground than it is at the entrance, but SE doesn't support elevators and I don't want to use mods that basically teleport people from level to level.

Q: How come everyone are building these large pretty bases and large warships that focuses more on looks than anything else? And why are there no more pvp videos? A: Oh you know, it's because everyone that ever have actually shot at another player on the server have been banned and it's basically a PvE server now where the players gets to defeat the admin's copy-paste ships. It was a nice community where you could get a bit of both. Now it's a carebear PvE server where the only content is basetours. Right now it's EU evening. Aka what should be primetime for any EU server. And the server got 2 people connected. RIP future SE content. Looking forward to more ArmA videos! Keep up the good work Arron :)

Since I started playing on the server on Cerverus one I have wiped 2 solos. Both who parked their mobile base next to my base and then aggroed my turrets. During the first of these I was playing as a solo myself. So maybe you should stfu with your missinformation spreading and get your facts straight? :) And no, if you compare the ships showed here to any half decent ship then they are definetly not function over form lol. Perhaps you should spend more time looking at SE tutorials yourself? xD

Don’t have much xp with it but we did use an advanced rotor to connect a large block ore detector to a small block ship. Need to be careful with how you build rest of ship and keep it pretty simple

Personally I've been playing Space Engineers on X-One. Which unfortunately is plagued with major stability issues. Not to mention memory crashes which happen frequently. I think Space Engineers is just a bit too much game for the Xbox to handle though. But it would seem it could be a good candidate for a Series X port here. The Limited PCU in itself makes playing on any server just about impossible. Since you're splitting your Global PCU between all players. Which isn't going to give you much to work with unfortunately. So at this point I'm probably going to switch over to PC. Even though that isn't much better I've heard. :/

Anyone who knows anything about SE server management could tell you that the amount of clustering and PCU floating about is the reason your sim is regularly 0.43 by the second week of the server. Don't waste your money, play here only if you can get active and loyal, but there are better free servers.

@@heinoobermeyer7566 check out the Draconis Cluster, they're 6 modded servers with a cross server warp. Regularly runs at 1.0 Sim speed. In character and out of character stuff, world building lore events. ETL is nice too, a no limits server, but can get a bit laggy when someone's printing something big, lower server pop these days though. Stone industries, new cluster server with cross server warping from pvp to pve lots to see. To name a few
