I don't know what's going on, but I'm starting to see those octave mandolins everywhere lately. It looks like maybe Ireland is the epicenter of octave mandolin players. I'm guessing they are tuned in 5ths same as a standard mandolin. Or are they just like a baritone uke, only with double strings?
