I should have gone to Uttoxeter but didn't have time, and my son was contemplating going then decided not to. Never mind. Perhaps Uttoxeter another day.

@@StaffsTransport It's a good spot, yes, the 37 that brought up the rear yesterday i caught a few weeks ago heading the test train and it was really blasting along, loud enough to feel it pound on your chest....

The southern portion of the BNSF Scenic Sub sees lots of trains, from Amtrak Cascades, the 7 & 8 (Empire Builder) Sounder, and plenty of BNSF trains The 37s sound like straight piped semis, and I think BR intentionally did that so railfans can get the Peterbilt and Kenworth experience in a locomotive, lol

They sounded rubbish tonight, the last few times there's been no thrash. Used to really accelerate through but now they just glide. I feel like taking a guitar and amplifier just to give it some sound lol
