I'm a delivery driver for dominos. It gets really lonely because I work the closing shift. I normally don't get out till 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. By then my friends are all sleep and I have no one to talk or text to when I get out of work. But when I put this music on when I'm driving back home, it feels like I am the only person in my city still up. The street are empty, no cars, no people, no life. The city sleeps silently through the night while I can enjoy the streets to myself. The dim orange street lights flyover head and fade silently with each passing. Stop light turns red and I come to a hult. Looking to my left and to my right. There is no sign of anyone. The light turns green and I can move on. I'm home. Car is off but the radio is still on. I don't wanna get out of the car just yet. I lean the seat back and open the sunroof to see the night sky over head. Light clouds cover the starry sky. Moments pass and the clouds open up to show the dark blue abyss. The stars twinkle and I close my eyes. Listening to this music can make such a simple ride home feel like something more. Edit 1: Wow, guys! Just wow..... I am in awe, about all the likes and the replies I have gotten from just this one paragraph. I wanna say THANK YOU! I honestly cannot believe how much this has inspired so many! I'm just a regular person like everyone else. I don't see myself as a writer or a poet. I just wanted to describe how I was feeling that night. It's amazing how music can connect us all. I know life can be complicated at times and we all go our own path but that's just it. You can overcome weed addiction. Mom turned very mentally sick when I was 14 and my life went downhill. Wasted a lot of years depressed because I couldn't help. Finally got her into treatment when I turned 27 and been fixing my life since them. Still can't feel anything but sick from all the years lost doing drugs and living in denial. Wish I could go back when I was 20 or sth to stop it and start moving forward.

Someone is rubbing at their sleep deprived eyelids and wishing you a goodnight. Be it three in the morning or the middle of the afternoon, give yourself some rest. so i decided to end it all today. went to the rooftop of my dorm building, stood at the very edge of the floor, but instead of jumping, i caught the glimpse of the universe. the stars, the sky, the moon, the citylights, the people, the breeze, the air that grazes to the crevices of my dermis and i backtracked a little. there was a sudden shock of everything, the purpose of why im here and why im experiencing this life, the reason why everything is the way they are. just everything. and its so weird how all the answers youve been looking for can come at you the second u decided to end it all. so i backtracked some more, until those backtracks became steps, then those steps became leaps. i went down at the edge and sat for awhile. grabbed my phone and came to this video. this calming vibe, this peace, this state of mind, i said to myself “i can live with this for a shortwhile” so maybe not today, tomorrow may be different, for better or for worse, but today? no. i’ll live for awhile.

I first listened to this video when i was in the 5th grade. I’m now a freshman in highschool, and no matter how much older I get I still believe this is the youtube video that i’ve watched the most and the video that means the most to me. This music impacted me in a way that i cannot express, and introduced me into a new way of thinking that i could never be more thankful for. For me, this video is the definition of what growth is. I had a period of time where everytime i clicked on this video i was met with terrible memories, but now it seems more of a bittersweet feeling.
