Lake Chelan is one of the most popular Kokanee in central Washington. In late fall and winter large numbers of Kokanee migrate up lake but smaller numbers remain in the lower basin. In this video I target these more widely scattered fish around Manson Bay and Wapato Point.

Another great video, thanks. I use my Paulina Peak rods to catch Lahontan Cutthroat trout at Pyramid Lake NV and have landed them up to 15 lbs on these rods. Love them! You should make a trip down here in October for some great fishing for monster trout

I was just wondering if the big moon was allowing the fish to feed all night and not be hungry the next day? Stoked to see your post moon edit!

11-13.5” they won’t put on hardly any size over winter as they are not enough resources

Have you ever tipped over in your peddle kayak with all your gear on and if you did was it hard to get back in ?

Yes twice. Both times in my Hobie Revo. It was easy to get back in and I practice often in my Salty 120 PDL

What's your impression on those NRS Boundary Boots? Do they fit over your dry suit nicely with your normal size or did you have to size up? I'll be new to winter time fishing on my kayak and just bought a dry suit and now need some good footwear for it.

Depends...how deep are the fish? Am I running a kicker motor or a bow mount trolling motor? Is it calm or windy? Is there other surface traffic?

How do you feel about what theyve done at green peter?

Not sure it will do much to change the trajectory of Willamette salmon/steelhead stocks BUT l know a lot of Kokanee got flushed out of the lake. It could actually help improve that Kokanee fishery since the lake is overpopulated and stunted.

@@spiltmilt Yeah we always fish there every year and come home with a massive amount of small fish. With the level to near river height though, I'm not sure theres anywhere for them to survive. Maybe Foster Lake will become a new Kokanee hot spot.

You’d be surprised. Wickiup was nearly drained and they survived there fine.
