Great hunt! I enjoy your narration of the events. It makes the video very easy to watch. I turn 67 in two weeks, and I hope to someday hunt as well as you. Good luck with the rest of your Pheasant season from South Central Kansas.

@@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 yes, i still remember 7 years ago. we went hunting after the snow storm. The pheasants were hiding in the snow so tight. and my flusher was doing the pointer's job. she "pointed" at the thick snow. that was a good memory. too bad that i did not buy a go pro and record it.

@ I love it when the labs point, my lab Jake that I had before Shilo used to do that from time to time, miss that boy!
@sun991493 күн бұрын
@@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 sorry to hear that. yeah, I also like to watch labs point. I was shocked when the first time I saw lab could also be a pointer. I am not sure if some labs were borned as pointers, but my dad told me a true story that he had a super smart flusher 30+ years ago. That dog was pointing at something when my dad was taking a leak. so when he finished his business. he walked toward the dog. and the dog flushed the bird and he shot the bird. since then, he has been hunting with a dog that can point. He told me some flushers could be smart and wait for you to get closer. but that is just his thinking. I have been telling him training the flusher is the best solution. well. one of his friends told me a way to train a flusher to point. I don't have a chance to try since I am busy with my family and I have no time to have a new dog. My dad wants a new pup. we will see if he gets one. I will help him to train the new pup if he gets one.

How much have you had to work with your dogs on backing each other up? My older dog is not respecting my younger dog's points and it is making my younger dog less steady, even when it's just me approaching. I have watched some videos on how to train and reinforce backing up each other, but honestly, I have a new little one and don't have a lot of time to train.
