Nice view of Elephant Butte. I miss seeing Elephant Butte when I drove out there for work in the past. It's the only large body of water for a while that's the closest thing to a beach besides the Rio Grande. I wish Burn Lake in Las Cruces was resurrected like it was during the early 70's to mid 2000's. The Las Cruces city council could easily do this as a future city project regarding nature and profit. The city council with this potential future project could dig out the old polluted dirt from the lake bed, and add a manually large heat welded lake liner. Once the lake liner is installed into the lake bed, Burn Lake could easily be filled with treated waste water from the nearby water plant.
