Late Winter Yellowbelly | Windamere Dam

Day 3 of 3 from the annual Windamere trip!
The lake absolutely turned it on for us this trip. A total of 24 goldens and a cod for 2.5 days fishing.
Gear used:
Rod 1 - Shimano Zodias UL / Shimano Stella 2500
Rod 2 - Shimano Zodias L / Shimano Vanford 2000
Braid - 8lb Platypus X9
Leader - 8lb Yamatoyo Harris Fighter
Lures - Jackall Squirrel 61SP / D-Style DBlow 58SP

Great videos Josh, the scope helps find them! Did you try without it? August, September? Time of year. Did you find much weed or sl8me about? Heading up in the middle of November, so some helpful tips, hope their still biting.👍🖐

Hey Tony, it certainly does help find them. This was our first Windamere trip with the scope and numbers were down on the previous 2 trips. This was late August mate but they weren’t quite fired up. There was slime on the bottom but we avoided it with the jerkbaits. Good luck on your trip.

Combo is a Shimano Zodias UL with an old Shimano Stella 2500. The Zodias is a ripper for this style of fishing.
