This is a great ruler...not only does it work as advertised, it works for 10 different sizes of flying geese unit (most fg rulers only cut for one size). Just remember to cut with the goose point down FIRST, then pointing up second as per the excellent instruction sheet and instruction video.

Thank you for your video. I want to point out that the first trim--both in the instructions and in Deb's demonstration, is turning the unit so that the bottom of the unit is on top. This ensures that the bottom gets the perfect angle of trim of a 45 angle where the goose and sky meet. The unit is then flipped and aligned with the trim sizes to cut the perfect 1/4" for the top. It is a must have ruler. It will save much time and frustration. It does make a difference...and the way you show is the most intuitive way..but you will not consistently get the trim down that you want which produces those perfect diagonals in the lower corner.

Agree, she does the order backwards. Always start with the nose of the goose pointing down when using the Wing Clipper Rulers.

This was a new technique for me until I followed the instructions when I made my own Meadow Mystery quilt last year. The video is very helpful. I would never have come up with the technique on my own and confess that I was surprised (pleasantly) when it worked perfectly!

My first time to see your channel. This is my favorite way to make flying geese, and I love my Studio 180 tools. I’m still looking for the very best way to make one flying goose. Does anyone have the definitive solution to that?

Thanks for a great tutorial. I've done the Lazy Girl and Flying Geese Bloc Loc, but hadn't seen the Wing clipper in action.

This is a great ruler. Your instructions do not follow Deb Tucker’s method. Her method starts with the piece facing with the point down. It is much easier to follow her method.
