First of all...Congratulations to the Meyers family!! This reminds me of our story...48 years ago, my son arrived only 30 minutes after we got to the hospital...and five years later, my daughter was born at home in our tiny apartment with at least a half dozen responders crowded into our tinier bedroom. (two of whom were fellow graduates from high school!) AND most importantly, our neighbor then and dear friend to this day, Linda, not only cheered me on and caught our daughter, but also went on to become a pioneer in the home birth midwifery movement. Thanks to her and other dedicated women, midwifery has gained the respect and legitimacy it deserves! (there was a time that she could have been arrested for "practicing medicine without a license")

This is the most beautiful story...we all think of Seth Meyer as being just over the top funny, but although I knew their second son had been born in the lobby of their apartment building this was an amazingly touching recounting of the event and then Seth's tribute at the end to all who helped and to his wife had ME choked up right along with him. What a guy, and that adorable newborn already has his Daddy's dimples!!!

I saw that, too, and then I thought: "Oh, yeah... he said he just got there an hour ago." He literally just came from the hospital to do the show. And "I still get choked up thinking about how brave I was!" totally slayed me. Congratulations, Mr. Meyers & Family.

Kimberly Gonzales it sure beats being in labor for days
@karatepop6 жыл бұрын
For days, probably, but I'd much rather have a typical labour than another precipitous one. With my first, I was calm, never got above speaking volume, just 8 hours of intense, silent back labour. This last baby was three hours from pre-labour to birth and I HATED it. It was scary, and way more painful, despite the baby being one lb smaller.

I LOVE how giddy & happy he is! You can really tell how tickled he is. From someone who never had the wonderful blessing of having any family, when you get to see others light up and be in love & have people in their everyday life that is their blood, it just never gets old seeing people have true happiness ♥️

Hilarious and heartwarming. What a beautiful story! Axel is so fortunate to have had great-grandparents who were beautiful, brave, and resilient holocaust survivors. His great-grandparents endured one of the most horrific and inhumane atrocities, ever to occur on a group of people. And yet they found a way to keep a flicker of life and hope alive, ultimately bringing them together, defeating the darkness and prevailing in love. Their love brought them the gift of their daughter Joanne. Joanne’s love gave her the gift of Alexi. Alexi and Seth’s love brought the gift of Ashe and Axel. What a truly powerful story. Congratulations Seth, Alexi, Joanne, and big brother Ashe! And Happiest of birthdays to Axel. 🎂🎈🎉🎁👨👩👦👦♥️♥️

Years ago, a woman gave birth in an elevator in a hospital in Topeka, Kansas. A nurse rode up and down with her and delivered the baby. The mother was really embarrassed about it. The nurse tried to reassure her by saying that a couple of years earlier, there was a woman who didn't even make it inside! She gave birth out in the parking lot. The new mother said, "I know. That was me."
