Found out there's a new design flaw: the hood and bumper design leads to the headlights being EASILY blocked by snow. So if you're driving and it's snowing, you keep having to pull over to clear your own headlights. I just don't think they'd be that stupid - and yes I do know that the average Democrat actually believes the average Republican is in fact that stupid, but just know that reductive thinking like that is equally stupid. Don't take this as me endorsing the GOP, but rather being against both. There will have to be a phase-in period, if they follow through with them at all. The whole point of tariffs is to make domestic production more competitive by making it more costly to import, and that can't happen overnight. And yes, it does create inflation, but it'd technically be transitory inflation, which is to say that prices would rise to a new norm, but wouldn't spiral (without greed-flation, which of course is the true cause of the inflation we've seen over the past several years).

Ok, I'm not even American, but I'll give the Thanksgiving thing a go. I shall attempt to demonstrate that it's possible to be thankful for more than family - and that for some of us family is far from conventional. Im thankful for my job, for my room having a nice view of Wellington NZ, for finally making some friends, and for getting into a routine before my third year of uni next year. And I'm thankful that my sisters didn't die in the house fire and that our parents are letting them out more. It's because they were investigated by child protection (at my insistence) so they're trying to look good, but at least it gives my sisters a chance to make friends. Im thankful that my 17 year old sister has a job and a close friend. I'm thankful that my 15 year old sister has art and theatre and finally am outlet for her precocious creativity. I'm thankful that I'm finally healthy and not sitting in my room in bed all day and actually enjoying eating and showering and socializing. I'm thankful that I have savings and am on track to be able to have my youngest sister live with me when she turns 16. I'm thankful for a grandma who looks after me and without whom I'd still be stuck in an abusive home. I'm thankful that life seems worth living again and that I have hope for the future. I'm thankful that I can genuinely laugh again without forcing it. If per chance you read this, Seth, thank you for giving me something to laugh about every week.

Went to a memorial service and mercy meal in Lee/Epping, NH today. Wonderful man. At lunch, my mother started explaining to an older woman how much i love watching Seth Meyers to make me laugh out loud. (I'm in my 40s for the record, and she was trying to gas me up, apparently. For the widowers out there.) The older woman started telling us how your parents live in Bedford and made it sound like you are all super duper close new england friends. I am pretty certain it could go either way. You have been friends with sally and her family since the beginning of New England, or she's just great at Wikipedia and celebrating names we all recognize. Not corrections worthy, perhaps, but super fucking freezing and rainy cemetery-side worthy when Seth Meyers comes up in conversation at the Holy Grail!
