Could you please explain (if possible with a video) on how ANOVA scrutinizes a model to compare the difference between latent parent profiles

I'm not sure I fully understand your question but it is possible to test for mean (or other) differences between latent profiles by using a Wald test of parameter constraints in Mplus (MODEL TEST option). Best, Christian Geiser

Wonderful. Does freeing the variances affect the enumeration process / fit indices of emergent classes?

What should I do if I try and get this message "THE MODEL ESTIMATION DID NOT TERMINATE NORMALLY DUE TO AN INSUFFICIENT NUMBER OF E STEPS. INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MITERATIONS. ESTIMATES CANNOT BE TRUSTED."

You can try increasing the number of MITERATIONS as suggested in the message. If this doesn't help, I would contact the Mplus support. It may be a sign that your model is not well defined given the data. Best, Christian Geiser
