The Banco do Brasil competition should move forward in the coming weeks with new calls for approved candidates. These calls increase the expectation for a new notice, although it is not yet possible to establish a deadline for its publication.
According to the Qconcursos Folha Dirigida report, Banco do Brasil plans to hold new calls for successful candidates in the first quarter of 2025, that is, by March.
Efforts are being made to hold these calls as soon as possible, and they may even happen in January. However, at the moment, the bank is still finalizing some internal negotiations.
BB has 1,041 candidates approved in the last competition who can still be called, all of whom are for the position of technology agent (clerk focused on IT).
As for the position of commercial agent (traditional clerk), the bank no longer has a valid reserve list, which prevents new calls until the new competition is held.
According to a source interviewed by the report, Banco do Brasil is treating these calls as a priority. The goal is to advance negotiations for the competition, since the main position at the institution can no longer be filled.

"Banco do Brasil informs that there is no definition regarding a new competition at this time and, as per administrative standards, always formally communicates any and all relevant news on the subject", says BB.
At the beginning of the second half of last year, the report found that the notice for the new competition could be released by December. However, the calls for applications for the technology agent position were not completed on time.
The same source reported that the bank did not rule out the possibility of launching the competition only in 2025. Despite this, BB considered holding the new competition as something "certain".
According to sources, the competition was even presented during a meeting with bank managers. Despite this, the process was still in an early stage of preparation.
