Why does Disney feel like they need to replace attractions instead of adding new attractions at Disney World? (I understand Disneyland) It appears the employee's parking lot at Hollywood Studios is large enough to have added Monstersland without taking out the Muppets. The last attraction overseen by Jim Henson himself.

They remove less popular attractions when the operational costs are too high to justify them or their footprint impedes guest flow as the parks become more crowded.

Because it’s much cheaper to replace an existing attraction. Like…MUCH cheaper. To put a new ride in, you need to run utility lines, power and water and sewage, you need to create new paths, re-route existing paths, plus you need to hire new people to run the new attractions. Replacing an existing attraction just carries the construction costs. Adding a new attraction is like a “add a couple zeroes to the end of your budget” type of more expensive.

The Disney Treasure having an EPCOT themed room is absolutely amazing! Also spotting all those lovely Figment figurines hiding around the room as well! I really love their theming with the room!

Muppet Vision is so much fun, it's my favorite (and I don't even like Muppets, but the explosions, the mayhem, it's just great). I hope the retheming of Rock N Roller coaster will be as much fun.

I'm conflicted about monsters inc coming to muppets courtyard. I want new stuff but I don't like the idea of muppetvision closing. Or the fact that they're changing rockin roller coaster.

Could they move Muppet Vision 3D into the Magic Eye Theater next to Figment? The theater is already set up with all of the special effects. The floor even moves for the big explosion at the end. I think they would make good roommates for Figment (who needs a major upgrade on his ride too).

I don’t think Rockin Roller Coaster has been operational any of the three last visits I’ve made to Hollywood Studios. But having muppets involved would be a great upgrade!

Afternoon tea at our local Ritz Carlton is $76 per person. And that's for a Ritz Carlton level experience, with a dress code. We'll skip paying $95 at Cake Bake Shop.

@ That’s preference; I think it’s easily top 2-3. Granted, i wasn’t able to ride Slinky Dog because it was down, but I can’t see it being on par with Tower, Rise, or Rockin.

The comment that "the Muppets aren't going anywhere" just shows the disconnect between people that are upset with the loss of Muppet Vision and the people that have been making these terrible decisions at Disney. Taking out a beloved, historic attraction is the main reason people are upset. Re-themeing a different ride with characters from the closed ride is actually kind of insulting. It would probably be considered exciting if it didnt come at the expanse of muppets vision. On top of that they are re-themeing a ride that young children cannot ride, which does take Muppets away from those guests.

I’d like to see them move Muppet Vision into MK and move Monster’s Inc. laugh floor to HS. They could basically just swap theaters. All semblance of cohesive theming is leaving MK anyways so having in Tomorrowland wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

Let me show you why we’re upset. The reason nobody likes this change. You see, muppetvision 3d was the last project that Jim Henson oversaw (Not that an idiot like you would know or care, is the creator of the muppets) before he died. And Disney removing this is like a government removing a historic and beloved landmark because it sits under an oil deposit. Muppets Vision and the Rock and Rollercoaster never had to be altered if Disney just dished out the money to expand Hollywood studios or replaced the useless Animation Courtyard with it. You’re defending a heartless company that doesn’t care about the needs of their customers and caters to what investors and executives want. It is that serious lol. Have a terrible day 🖕
