Notwithstanding his accomplishments, I never understood the inspiration in his story. The guy, ostensibly, made a fortune. He still owns his Chicago home, in addition to living in Israel. He didn't have to sell it. And every time he's asked about people who struggle to make a living, it's the same "but everyone has more time" fallacy. And people just nod like dummies. What?? You're telling me you're struggling to make a living and pay all your obligations, especially in today's climate, and you have an *hour a day* to spare where you're not working? That's not believable, and the comment is out of touch. Every time we make another dollar, the groceries go up by two dollars. We close a good deal, and the kids' camp days they're raising the prices next summer. We have a good year, and all the homes on the market are being snatched by heimish "investors" and put back on the market as rentals or at an additional 60%. *That's* where the extra hour a day goes to, Tzadik. I'm happy for him, but I find the whole "you can do it to" shpiel to be out of touch. I struggle with even grasping tje amount of rent he collects passively each month. Agav - this guy was learning in kollel and had the money to finance ski trips every 2 weeks. Amazing. Edit: now I'm mad. We're not trying to get "more and more". We're trying to get 3 months worth of bills into our CHECKING accounts. Then, **gasp**, maybe an additional few dollars to invest in our kids simchas and futures. He's making it sound like anyone who doesn't give a shiur is the Hatzooleh guy in the financed BMW with a 400 credit score. Settle down.

Your Neshama is a part of Hashem. Everything else is a part of the creation. You are a part of the CREATOR! He loves you, and He loves it when you try hard to get close to Him. If you manage to learn or dedicate time for Him even for just one second each day, He's thrilled with you. We sense your frustration and pain. You are not alone, not within the community, and you are not overlooked by Hashem.

Not sure from where you guys take this Info but the biggest Yiddesh speaking Daf Hayiomy shiur is the 23 min a daf by Rabbi Hertzka Greenfeld.
@LatestTalks Жыл бұрын
It's in English not in Yiddish
@MrDav1992 Жыл бұрын
Not sure what your saying is in English. You mentioned on this podcast the biggest yiddesh speaking shiur was inspired by R' Eli when in fact the Yiddesh speaking shius is the 23 min a daf. Just clarifying
@LatestTalks Жыл бұрын
@MrDav1992 Ah I thought you were referring to Reb Eli's shiur
@yeudaferer2517 Жыл бұрын
@@MrDav1992 R' Eli said that the guy is the biggest in Yiddish as an ''Omud Yomi'' shiur (not a Daf). Btw I think Rabbi Lazer Rubin is the biggest today (on multiple hotlines, Kol Haloshon, Alldaf app, Torahanytime, via Email and more).
