lathe power feed test + bonus buy

tonight I test the power feed on my lathe , i have been building the mounting bracket , using m8 threaded bar with a piece of 40 mm steel to make the main frame then a piece to hold it ridgid , im really happy how it turned out , all working pluss i show what i bought for the lathe recently .

Great easy solution for a power feed. I used the same on a machine many years ago. Install a trip switch at the headstock end to kill the power feed. This will prevent you from crashing into the headstock or chuck, etc. If you make the switch position adjustable on a slide, you could use it to stop the carriage at a specific point. Then you could leave the lathe unattended while it's performing its cut and do other work. Cheers Tony
