Hi no need to apologise at all. I make all my blanks apart from the ceramic one. Other things I make are pendants and earrings busy mostly rings.

Hey Daniel, I want to get into making my own blanks. I was wondering what metals you use and think are best and would recommend for someone starting to learn to make blanks?

Hi. Best option is to start with something inexpensive such as stainless steel then slowly build up to some other material such as titanium but remember to be careful as to much temperature can cause the titanium to ignite with a very bright light that can damage your eyes. If this happens let it burn out if safe to do so and never throw water on it as this can cause an explosion.
