Using multiple gas pipes where you keep circulating them to the front (in the direction you're rolling) is another way to move heavy equipment. Glad she's in place and making chips!

This reminds me so much of my Mazak CNC Lathe Rebuild ?? Still not finished after much time trying my best to get it done 🙄 My main problem with the rebuild is ? ME 😁 I am Very Fussy how things look which only adds to the time it takes to get it finished and i have my normal work coming into my shop also. It will Definitely be a Big Help when it's Finally running again. Hopefully Soon 🤔 Wish you all the best with your mission 👍

Awesome job on the rebuild! I have 3 LeBlond lathes. The 17 x 120 had been tipped over or dropped or something. The taper attachment was broke off of it and the lead screw was bent. Other than that, it is inasty and rustind it now works like a new one also. Next in line is the 13 x 96. It is not in as good a shape as the other 2 but it will be when I get finished. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed watching!!!

Awesome work! And it's great to hear nobody got hurt, those things are dangerous when moving. Some time ago I had an accident with a lathe tipping over on a pallet jack on an uneven surface. Fortunately the lathe was small (Weiler Matador) and I didn't get hurt, but it really made me much more careful when moving anything. What is the model of the vacuum cleaner? I'd love to have something like that for restorations etc.

Nice work, moving top heavy machines like lathes is always scary. For the way wipers if the polymer parts are missing. I reprinted mine out of TPU on the 3d printer, and they are doing a nice job so far.

So happy you showed that thing some proper love. Looks almost like new again and all the crud got removed out of every hole i guess :D VERY nice work and trough work there, love it. Also ... automatic tailstock feed? That's not stock isn't it? :D Peace and keep up the good work! (edit : be glad the thing tipped over on its back... a hit from all that weight on the front ... Rip all levers, handles, buttons etc ... that was lucky as heck (and that nobody tired to catch the thing while tipping over LOL))

Is it SUI40 or 50? I have SUI40 and it is absolutelly amazing piece of machinery. Did you also check the overall geometry? Btw nice clenup and partial restoration 😉. Only a few can imagine how much time and effort was invested in the project.

Great video thx. The TOS lathes look really capable, great resto. The teachable moment in this video is the skate mishap. If you're using skates and they are not bolted to machine, you have to watch them every second. Even with 3 skates, you can't depend on the tripod effect. I foolishly thought I could, and got lucky when one came out from under headstock end, just lucky it didn't flip. Pipe rollers are more reliable, and can be steered remarkably well, plus they are low profile so if they drop out the machine won't tip far. Videos showing pallet jacks always make them look problem free, but the slabs on my planet are too rough, or there's a slope. Loaner Harbor Freight engine lift? Sorry no thanks. Lathe plus pallet jack plus slope equals potential for disaster. Pipes: free/cheap, easy to steer and keep machine movement controlled. Just add come-along, bob's deine Onkel.

@Roetz403 жыл бұрын
diskrete Antwort: Gewerblich!
