Log #74 of the Spaze Buttahfly, in high orbit of Neter We ave watched in peace as Chaos grew from its birthplace, quickly overrunning its slow to respond neighbors, the unfortunate Deepwater Guard and Lightning Hoods. We were amazed by the speed of its advance, but not surprised. what really caught us off of our guard was its adaptability. Never before have we seen it adapt so quickly and efficiently. It always captured one or two enemy boats, improved the design, learned from it, and sent it out like a Frankenstein, to murder its former comrades. We watched in horror, as it quickly consumed or devotees, the valiant White Flayers, and turned our monuments, towns, and temples into relics of Khorne. They ave finally attacked the Gray Talons, and to our surprise, they appeared to have halted before that stalwart defense. But alas, they quickly learned and even now are overwhelming them. We are peaceful observers, meant to stay in orbit and monster a controlled release of Chaos, guided by a Greater Daemon of Khorne, Lathrix. but it has gone out of control. I fear Neter is lost to our own experiment. I pray they never manage to get into space. Lathrix must be treated with caution, for both his brilliant and ruthless tactics, and his propaganda, he has half of Neter believing he is the good guy, that the razing of their villages was good!! We must all be on our guard, I do not feel safe even here, miles above the ground. End of log

I would very much welcome a virtual bar, where every meaningful faction should be named and introduced in similar style. Multiplayer fix is surely coming, lets make clans, and professions, make friends. We should strive for a bigger community, at least I wanted a game just like this when I was 14. Or only I am thinking while building a cannon: Big Reactor or Immersive Engineering? ;)

The race who were blessed by entities from the other end of normality, the never heard survivalist branch of eldar were pleased what they saw. Fun is logical, and militaly information given out freely is a present which must be honoured. After a long time meditating the zen of "Building while having some beers", and practicing with beers first, while still missing the catharsis of the rebalance update they turned their eyes toward the material plane again. Still having adept psi abilities, but shaming the orcs of junk-building, the logically blessed bricks of metal are hopping uf from the otherspace like joyful whales. They went to benevolently helping a cheated fisher family against planetary sized enemies, then applied the molecule-multiplier trick under the seas of Neter they've learnt from their good friend, the crafty, but lone wolf AiyonMk3 who is a really decent armour-, and gunsmith by profession as I saw it, but made a really miniature hover-droid on request, and an airship which has more terror factor than a Vogon Builder ship, poems included. First they made a little hunk of metal of Sneaky, which has two of our first successfull rapid-fire hull turret cannons by the secrets of the fine, cheap, and deadly SCE_Unending_Conquest which is a tournament vessel ship, she hopefully won a few rounds already. Sneaky is a tank-submarine with with too much cannons for it's size. After steamrolling mercilessly the fishing boats and sailships of the pathetic pirates, they collected all the precious scrap, and began to soldify a flying dreamship of terrors (the muse was the CookieWagon ;) ) around an idea. The Hobgoblin is such an old design. It was the progenitor of the bizarre style used by the Lamprey, Greataxe, and Extinction. It should also be noted once more that the creator of the style has since forgotten how he managed to make it work. I should really overhaul it so it isn't just all CRAMs. For your lamentations on the nukes managing to spawn in far enough from the Extinction, I specifically made sure it handled them with the utmost care! Too bad you decided to put in a laser just in time which countered them, they were a very substantial part of its armament. When you do see the Raven's Nest, it will be spawned in way too low with parts underwater. This is a known issue that already has a fix queued up for it. If you do capture it then please use a fortress controller to raise it to its intended altitude so everyone can see it the way it was meant to be seen. The original Raven's Nest was absolutely massive and tanked game performance drastically so we had to replace it. Pretty sure it was over 20k blocks.

No, I did not. I did extensive work to make sure it functioned properly a few months ago, but I am not the mad man who came up with that thing. I have created units for the game though. There are currently three Scarlet Dawn designs that I am directly responsible for (the Comet, Shootingstar, and Sagittarion), and I recently finished work on a Steel Striders helicopter. It will go by the name Chrysaetos, which is Latin for "golden eagle" as I've been told. It wasn't finished in time for the current version of the game, but it will be replacing a rather dated looking helicopter.

Six year old comment but really cool to hear insight on how vehicles are designed and maintained for the campaign! Given all the updates the game has to re-work core system over the past six years, how difficult is it to make sure the campaign stays relevant?

Back when I was though I was more focused on mundane maintenance, piping engines to funnel exhaust properly, adding in detection systems, using mimics to make smooth wood-to-metal deck transitions, or just consolidating blocks to reduce the total count for a marginal increase in processing performance (also re-beamed a bunch of designs that had been beamed by the "Blockalizer" tool, oh the horror). I certainly did more involved improvements, but I liked adhering to the original concepts as much as I could.

Vehicle Logs: "World Eater" Air Dreadnought A Kobald heavily converted to have a massive laser system and lots of ornaments of Khorne. The most notable ornament is that the World Eater carries a massive logo of Khorne via chains. It also carries *_A LOT_* of anti-munition laser weapons. It also has some shields and some massive torpedoes, as well as some huge EMP cruise missiles. It also keeps two of the Advanced Projectile Systems of the Kobald. Of course, it's being very nice to the AI Mainframes... (mainframes scream in the background) The weaponry can easily obliterate a Bloodthirster without taking too much damage, however the World Eater is big, slow, and expensive to maintain. That doesn't change the fact that it is devastatingly powerful against its foes. The Legion knows their war machines are only going to get stronger. _"A mutation of total destruction."_

Harbinger Autumn log# 1567: Since the beginning of our invasion the fallen empire and the loosely connected tribes of the Gray Talons worked together to keep us at bay. And before that the failure to insert factory cores Eros and Thanos just weakened us more by cutting off our intentional invasion point. But then after 26 years of my promotion to Harbinger our ships caught sight of a new player in the game. Our recon ships watched as he obliterated the Deep water Guard savages but then he learned from them and adopted their savage traditions of hanging their foes heads as trophies. After the guard we watched as he spearheaded the tech thieves and learned the power of laser weaponry and adjusted his fleet accordingly. Capitulating the Lightning hoods he set his eyes on the religious Zealots of the White flayers. What he learned while not as technological is just as dangerous as he turned an entire religion against itself then the survivors joined him. Now he has caught our interest by attacking our captors the Gray Talons once they are dealt with we hope to crush the Striders and begin our invasion in full. As long as he doesn't set his eyes on us.

So I am working on the Superbus, a real all-terrain wehicle of orky firepower. Just an idea lath, it always seems so easy for you to win battles (albeit might be your editing that shows it like so). One thing that might help is if you don't place your ships "too well" when preparing for battles, seeing as the AI doesnt do that. That doesnt mean you have to put them all in a stack of course, but just seeing 2 forces (forces, not dispersed ships) smash into each other probably looks a lot cooler as well as making it easier for the AI

Hey Lathrix! Just wanted to tell you that the Gray Talons have 4 main bases. 2 of those bases are right by the lighting Hoods, you found the Northernmost base, and one is nestled in a corner somewhere. Great video though and keep up the good work!

Diary entry 71317: Things just keep getting worse. That Blood obsessed Bastard and his so called "Legion" are mowing down the Talons. At this point, it's only a matter of time before they come to us. Lieutenant Draken's spies in the Grey Talons told us that he managed to commandeer one of their Cobalt Airships, and strap all kinds of random tech to it. Thing is a damn monstrosity carrying around a bunch of defeated Ship Captains Heads and a giant sigil for no apparent reason. All we know about it is that it took out the Extinction. The Freakin' Extinction! We helped develop that Flying mass of Cannons, and it scared even us, and his jerry rigged Cobalt managed to take it down like it was nothing! We still can't even figure out this Lunatic's motivation. He only seems interested in making his blood cult take over the whole planet. He even says that they're the "Good Guys" Of course those traitors in the Onyx Watch are supporting him all the way, I'll bet they're just waiting for him to come after us next. I've killed a Bulwark with my 10k starter ship, the fear I had was of going to sleep before the fight finished... not scary. The Trebuchet is something to be wary of with the usual anti-OW fleet, that can make some big holes quite rapidly.

You should put detection systems only on the nuke launchers, and transmit them to the nukes. That way, you can't use them separately >:D (and it would make the nukes cheaper)

Once you're finished with the Gray Talons, (Which is obviously imminent,) can you please do an episode where you go around and finish up the tiles of the factions you've destroyed already? (White Flayers, Lightning Hoods, stuff like that.) I feel like you rushed the lightning hoods and we barely got to see the designs of the enemy, since you rushed to their base and destroyed it.

Lathrix your missles aren't oversized until there 30 block which is usualy my normal for small patrol boats. Also for effectivity use a lot of fins that's what I do. off topic me and a few friends made a massive like 500 block long battle ship and I added torps on the bottom that were half the length and effective.

So, in an effort to copy the Kobalds gun system, I stripped all the armor off. The nose of that ship has 14m of layered armor to cut thru before you get to anything. 14m. That is a STOUT nose...
