To see an open-minded, incredibly talented actor, engage with such humility, no big ego, no attempts to maintain a facade of perfection & be so down to earth & kind in an authentic manner is so refreshing compared to the opposite, perfection parade & egotism charade that's often seen and inherited from the industry. Way cool Kyle

Having seen Kyle in other things, he is very good at playing Kyle like characters in various capacities, but his Mr. C and Agents of Shield stuff really emphasizes his range and he should get more attention than he does.

The new twin peaks is definitely more FWWM than the original series and FWWM was so far ahead of its time, people like me who seen it after only seeing a few episodes of the original series appreciate it more than the series and then watched the series in its entirety and seen how it went all over the place once the murder was solved. I thought where can it go from here and it took about ten or more episodes to get back on track even up to the last episode of the original series which was what I saw first, loved all the red Room stuff backward talking and thought I have missed this great series, then the film came on TV pretty quickly as it was a flop and I loved it again as there was nothing like it. I guess I saw it the wrong way round in the 90s but loved what I did see and went back to watch from start to finish and waited like everyone to get the return which I love as well. I had to wait till dvd release to see that so had to wait and a avoid spoilers which was annoying but now have watched it three four times in its entirety and lynch is just a special artist like no other and I love all his movies like lost highway there is nothing like a David Lynch experience.

really insightful, gave me a couple possible realizations - the not-quite-Cooper at the end could be like that because he gave part of himself to Dougie - maybe some of the Fireman's actions were originally assigned to Cooper and they chose to obscure that more?

Changed my life that tv show....and Agent Cooper was my safe place. Until that horrible ending of season 2 which I will never forgive them for!! Love Kyle MacLachlan, his love for David Lynch and that whole cosmos and the way he takes this seriously and made the surreal real for us.

How does this man look so good all these years later??? The other Twin Peaks actors all showed their age but "old Dale" looked better than the made up young Dale Cooper from the pilot.....

I'm curious to see how the new Twin Peaks will look in 5-10 years, whether people will watch it again as a "classic", or whether all that will be left of it is "a bunch of baloney" ;) For one the film-making craftsmanship and production quality of it probably won't fade.
@fellowcitizen4 жыл бұрын
I found it to have wildly uneven craftsmanship and production quality - much of it seemed like it must have been delegated to very inexperienced crew
@vincentjohnflorio3 жыл бұрын
I think the sheer effort involved is worth something. And its uniqueness. I think it's interesting how it can stand on its own open to interpretation, but also the way that so much of the theories that are floating around there about possible intended meanings hold up, elevates it even further. It's easy to see the more abstract bits or unconventional choices as pretentious gibberish nonsense but I don't think that's what's going on any more than when people say "plot hole" about something when it's dramatic irony or something not yet revealed or not fully understood.
@nondescriptbeing59443 жыл бұрын
It was super varied, to me - its best moments were among the best I've seen on TV, ever, and its worst sometimes didn't feel worthwhile at all.
@omgsolikevalleygirl3 жыл бұрын
@@nondescriptbeing5944 same here - e.g. when Episode 8 premiered it really felt like someone just had reinvented completely what a TV series could do - I was just glued to the screen in wondrous disbelief - but other parts made it feel as if Lynch's "goose laying golden eggs" was just pooping out unholesome sawdust that keept circling around in my stomach rather indigestibly.

I Love You Gordon Cole 👍 and your album crazy clown Time et The Big Dream. Please again Mister Lynch. it's very super for eternity 😘
