Yes there are moments where the lord still has something pointed out to you that needs worked on, I find literally every day is another lesson being refined into gold by fire. but i find most often god uses them to keep lukewarm on the fence Christians on their toes. My parents and I came to the US as refugees in 1968 when I was 6 (my Mom's main motivation was fleeing religious persecution -- she was a Jehovah's Witness and the Communist party harshly persecuted this group). It's a sad truth. This is why many Miami Cuban-Americans support Trump: they don't want democracy in Cuba or here -- they want a right-wing strongman. It's much more complex -- but I've boiled down to simple but true elements.
