Thanks guys, this is an evergreen, beautiful romantic love song classic in Hindi cinema. Sanam & his band are great in their covers of the old is gold songs without ruining the charm of the originals. Yes, you are right it is nostalgia, this is one of the most favourite songs of my family sung by the late Indian singing legend Mohammed Rafi Sir, lyrics by legends Neeraj, Music Directors: Shankar & Jaikishan, 1968 movie Kanyadaan. Shankar & Jaikishan were well-known for adding western stylistic techniques and orchestration besides Indian classical in their music & songs .

@@dakshastheics if u are looking for modern rendition, go for Sonu Nigam's version. It is better than this. There are certain features of song which should be preserved even if u are remaking it. Sadly, the remakes made today are simply monotonous and they kill the liveliness of the song in the name of improvisation.

@@s.majumdar9388 well technically this can fall in that category, a lot of eurocentric development in art, culture, philosophy , medicine has a lot of eastern wisdom which is appropriated and the original source is never credited. If you go to Madrid this Indian connection of Flamenco is not common knowledge most people will be surprised or outright think it's not true. That is a textbook case of cultural appropriation.
