Greetings from Hungary! It's a kind of prayer for the earth, the people in this situation, but at the same time symbolism, fire and blood,,, fire hardens, confirms. A lot of people have sadly lost this battle, including two very important people for Dimash, (symbolized by the blood and the pianist's fall). The last image, the contrast of the black rock, and behind the beautiful green landscape,,, our hope and future Dimash and his team made a beautiful video with a beautiful message! The video was directed by Dimash and Azamat Dulatov The instrument is an ancient Kazakh instrument called kobyz, the videos were recorded in Kazakhstan, in Almaty, near Dimash's home, as well as in the beautiful canyon
Reaction to Ninety one - Men emes (K-pop) Kazakhstan please

That ancient instrument is a Kobyz. The pianist is the composer of this piece, Renat Gaissin. I think the dying of the pianist represents the recent passing from Covid of one of Dimash's music mentors. There is so much symbolism and cinematic beauty in this video and it's so emotive. Dimash's vocal in this song breaks my heart.

the history of Kazakhstan is full of sad and difficult events. The sadness of the song is also because of a lot dies from covid in our country. Dimash's soul is in the fire for his country, as well as for the planet as a whole. but in the end, like a phoenix, he comes to life and gives hope that everything will be fine and the world will sparkle with bright colors

This is Dimash's prayer and debut as a director 💜🤗💜 He is singing in Kazakh and all the scenery is around Almaty Kazakhstan. Dimash is very, very deeply rooted in his culture and strongly patriotic for his country (Kazakhstan). Kazakhstan is a newly independent country (1991) who fought and lost many to get their independence. So alot of this is about that but its also his expression of the pandemic and loosing people close to him due to it. He's an incredibly old soul who's caring runs deep through him. He's mentioned many times of his concern of the state of the world currently. 💙💙 Here is an article explaining the MV. en.dimashnews.com/2020/08/09/a-new-video-qairan-elim-was-released-on-dimashs-channel/ Words at the beginning: The Great Steppe. I am speaking of the land which spreads across the four directions. I am speaking of the Altai mountains and the region of Atyrau, the rivers Zhaiyk and Ile, the Alatau mountain range and the Saryarka Uplands, about the finest vast lands of all time. I am speaking of the Great Steppe, the cradle of the Turkic realm, which gave rise to the nomads. O silent world, do not hold your breath inside! You have a generation who boldly withstood the struggle, A kind owner with a generous soul and a compassionate character, constant against the dark transgressions of a changing world. The Great Steppe has a guardian spirit, unknown to a stranger, incomprehensible to an outsider.

It's a prayer for the whole humanity. It's a SOS cry for our planet. We must stop destroying us and everything beautiful around us. We are burning our world. Piano, the music, the art is on fire and dies. Dimash, gorgeous Dimash is burning. One of the most beautiful thing that we know is on fire. He is a part of this burning and dying beautiful world. He is desperate. Dimash is a singer and that's his way to fight for peace and pray for us. There is so many symbolism in this video. And lets not forget that the whole project is directed and produced by Dimash himself. Deep bow to this genius. Deep bow our DIMASH.

Dear friends, the author and director of this video is Dimash. In the beginning was an excerpt from the epic film "Tomaris", which told the struggle of the Kazakh people. This is a song-prayer for peace on the entire planet and on its "sacred land", let all the beautiful collapse and burn, let blood flow, but this is all for the Dawn to come, give us new colors and how the Phoenix will revive everything from dust. And the tool is called KOBYZ

Aside of the intended interpretation which you can read on Dimashnews.com I think everybody is supposed to find his own interpretation. There is so much symbolism in the song, the melody, the voice, the visuals... rewatch it a few times and you will notice many little details. A stone dropping into the water of the calm lake causing agitation, the percussions which sometimes sound like the ticking of a clock, the voice sounding like a prayer, fire kind of sacrifice and so much more.

Thank you guys for yet another great reaction to Dimash. I’m so glad that you do appreciate his art, as well as his insane talent. He’s such a soulful and genuine artist. Dimash is currently collaborating on an all Kazakh album with the composer of that original song, Renat Gaissin, who happens to be the pianist in the video. This masterpiece of a song, “Qairan Elim” (which means “My Sacred Land” in Kazakh, his mother tongue), is Dimash’s prayer for peace for both his homeland, Kazakhstan, and the world. It is hauntingly beautiful and pierces through one’s heart and soul. The majestic sound of the Kobyz/Qobyz (the traditional Kazakh string instrument) adds to its deep meaning in such an emotional way. And bravo to Dimash on his directorial debut! The MV is a masterpiece in its own right: every single frame/shot was magnificent with all the light and color contrasts, creating a beautiful dynamics on a visual standpoint. Furthermore, all the visual metaphors that Dimash used in the video convey perfectly his powerful message. Thus, depending on your interpretation, the visual metaphors of the fire used in the video, namely Dimash and the piano in flame, can symbolize passion, purification, rebirth and resurrection; but also all the hardships and sufferings of the world. The presence of color in the last shot signifies the hope and anticipation of a brighter future. Here’s the link to the article about the song, explaining precisely the inspiration and meaning behind it: (Dimash’s official website) en.dimashnews.com/2020/08/09/a-new-video-qairan-elim-was-released-on-dimashs-channel/ I can’t wait for Dimash to release his Kazakh album. P.S.: to everyone who reads this comment and appreciate Dimash’s artistic vision and work, please do not hesitate to subscribe to Dimash’s official KZbin channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWWYopeIdq6Kl68 ; also please leave a like and comment under his MV to show your love and appreciation. 🙏

Besides what you were saying, which I agree with, is what the lyrics said at the beginning about tempering. Tempering is the process of hardening steel by exposing it to fire to make it strong and durable. Like he said, the adversities and sacrifices people go through, and efforts they make hopefully pave the way for a new dawn (even if they don't survive to see it.)

Hi Waleska and Efra, What an enjoyable and great reactions of both of you. Your knowledge and love for music is noticeable. Thank you. The other dears answered your questions. Yess as Efra said Dimash is the best singer of the world for me too. He always takes us with him to an endless journey where we imagine what we hear and will see. This feeling Efra as a Dear I can rely on too. And Waleska you’re right too he’s the piece and when he sings and tells about his country he’s open and very proud of. What I love about Dimash besides his epic voice is his abilty to spread warmth and love, trying to give peace messages through his music. I love the Kobyz instrument too. As Dimash’s voice is so expressive and emotional so is the Kobyz and piano too. So thanks also to the musicians and choir and all the people who realised this masterpiece. I hope to see the scenery in real (Almaty, Kazachstan). Yess in the Kazakh language you can hear a lot of A’s indeed. I’am trying to learn. Please react to more Dimash🙏

The words of intro: The great steppe! I praise your blessed lands. I praise your wide expanses from Altai to Atyrau, from the Ural to Ili, from Alatau to Saryarka, which are silent witnesses of my happy times. I praise the Great steppe, the cradle of the mighty Turkic world. Hey, the silent world! Don't hold your breath. Your descendants are behind you, and nothing has stopped them in times of severe turmoils and fights. The great steppe, whose generous owners have not broken down and are not exhausted before the quirky nature of the changeable world, whose hearts are generous and souls are noble, has its own patron, which is unknown to the stranger and which is not felt by the outsider.

I really am glad to see you guys analyse this beautiful song deeply. This video had left it open for different interpretations so each of us can draw our own!
