The reason people formed the big pyramid in Krishna Janmashtami is cause of the stories of lord Krishna. When krishna was a little kid he used to finish all the dairy products like curd, butter, etc really quick as they were his favs. So Yashoda his foster mother would keep all the food really high so he couldnt reach it. So Krishna would call his 3-4 friends and form a pyramid to get the food. Thats why people celebrate it by tying a pot filled with curd really high and people form a pyramid to break the pot. Also not everybody can participate in the pyramid it requires people who are skilled for it.
@bhoomiiii0627 күн бұрын
But that is when pyramids are formed on big scale. Otherwise everyone can celebrate it by tying the pot at a lower height

12:21 OMG you finally came across CHHAT PUJA....It is the most difficult fasting festival, 36 hours continous fast and a total of 4 days fast is observed by devotees. It will start just after 4 days after diwali. It is 4 days festival. We worship both setting and rising sun, signifying everything that rises eventually sets and everything that sets eventually rises. Chhat is emotion for Biharis specially ❤. OG Singer Sharda Sinha is very famous for singing folk Chhat Puja songs, And songs are mixture of Magadhi, Bhojpuri and Maithili language.

The reason Ganesh is released into water, is because Shiv, his dad, gave Ganesh North India as his kingdom, and South India to his other son, Karthikeya. When Ganesh visits his brother in the South, he stays for 9 nights (Navratri) and must leave before he overstays his welcome - and is cast into (usually flowing) water. Ganpati visarjan (casting into flowing water) used to be a private celebration in each household in the South. It became a more public celebration when Bal Gangadhar Tilak wanted to show the power of the people against the atrocities of the. British Raj in the battle for independence. The first Sarvajanik (public) Ganesh Visarjan happened in 1892, when Bhausaheb Laxman Javale installed the first public Ganesh idol in Pune, and became a MASSIVE big deal in cities like Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nasik, etc. The Sarvajanik (public) Ganpati Visarjan (immersion) tradition continued even after the British were kicked out of India.

To all the ignorant people who never miss a chance to take a jab at Bihar, especially when it comes to music, please consider this: Bihar's rich musical heritage, particularly in the realm of nirgun music, showcases deep emotional and social themes. Songs like "Ek Din Nadi Ke Tire" and "Daag Kahan Se Lagal" beautifully reflect the struggles, joys, and connections within families and communities. Bihari music emphasizes strong lyrics that resonate with the human experience, often celebrating love, loss, and the bonds that tie us together. It’s a profound reminder that music from this region goes beyond entertainment; it’s a powerful narrative of life and society. Though I agree that in recent years, at the cost of entertainment, the quality of lyrics has declined, and absurdity in songs has become the new norm, there are still creators who are pushing for the folklore and originality of Bihari music. When I say Bihari music, I’m not just referring to Bhojpuri; it also includes Maithili and Maghi. Fun fact: Bhojpuri is the least spoken language in Bihar compared to Maithili and Maghi. Cheers!

The cultural reference to this kinda celebration is that it was lord krishna and his little friends who used to do this trick in their childhood to steal curd and buttermilk from the clay pots hung up on rope at a certain height in the houses of all gopis in ‘Gokul’, a place where lord krishna spent his entire childhood
