Arabesque music means in Turkic musicology "mixed music". Not "arab style". ( It is underinvestigated shortfall in wikipedia. ) Turkish Classical Music and Turkish Folk Music are mixed in 70's. These songs usualy singing with "Hicaz makam". A common theme in Arabesque songs is the highly embellished and agonizing depiction of love and yearning, along with unrequited love, grief and pain. Arabs prefer Turkic Hicaz makam in their songs and prays too. Therefore, mistakenly this kind of music named "arabesk". Actually, "arabesque" in French means "mixed". There is in art, architecture, design, painting, classical music, even ballet too. Arabs was studied classical music in Mecca in history? Maybe ballet, in Madina, ha? Turks are not Arabs .The are a language family of at least 35 documented languages, spoken by the Turkic peoples of Eurasia from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Western Asia all the way to North Asia (particularly in Siberia) and East Asia. The Turkic languages originated in a region of East Asia spanning Western China to Mongolia, where Proto-Turkic is thought to have been spoken, from where they expanded to Central Asia and farther west during the first millennium. Greetings from the UK
