The cores used in this video to my understanding are from the old production methods, they have done a few modern runs bringing them back but they have more dome and aren't in the same older plastic blends that I prefer.
@McSlobo3 ай бұрын
You can remove any dome by laying the disc upside down on a flat plane and accidentally pouring boiling water in. If that doesn't help, find a kettle that fits in, fill it with boiling water and place on top, then fill the rest of disc with boiling water too. Maybe also add an insulating (heat) piece of something on below to help the heat remain there longer, like cork mat or something like that... usually happens really easily.
@TheButlerNZ3 ай бұрын
So what they need to do is make a mold that is less domey than the Core, so when they produce it with the new plastic, it domes out to the same dimensions... Sort of makes me wonder why, with all the science behind them, the don't do that with more discs... Slight different molds for different plastic so the result gives the SAME silhouette instead of a disc that is over stable in one plastic and under stable in another... Let us choose a flightpath, not a plastic

My favorite midrange. Been stock piling them due to the limited recent runs. Also love the Striker and XXX which are in limited production.

Core,Claymore,Warship and Md3 from House of disc are all 1.4 in rim width/rim thickness. Based on flight numbers the claymore at 55-11 is most neutral and core at 55-.51 is 2nd most neutral and then warship and Md3 are both 5501. When it comes to rim height you have the Md3 at 1.9cm, Core and Claymore at 2.0 and warship at 2.1.

I was working at a disc golf shop when these things came out and when we got a shipment, I used my employee discount to buy 2 of them which I still have. I have one almost exactly like your yellow one and it looks like it flies the same but mine is probably beat in more. It always reminded me of a Buzzz SS or even a Meteor somewhat.

Been curious about Core but I've got 11 gatekeepers so I'm sort of set on mids. If you haven't tried a gatekeeper, you need to. Slightly more stable and shorter than a Claymore, very controllable and nice. New VIP-Ice are great.

Have a shot at tracking down a 2020 SPZ3 Trilogy Challenge (Latitude 64 Superhero). I'm no strongarm.. (330ft max at 55 with something like my Beasts or an Opto gold Diamond)... Mine was found and on returning was given it (Thanx Ollie). I can get 300 ft with my SPZ3 and it is DEAD STRAIGHT... I mean thread a 1m gap at 200 ft straight.. (in calm weather)... and 5ft off the ground all the way.. Its beginning to flip a slight bit.. but 2-3 degrees of Hyzer depending on wind and it just flies like an arrow.... Hyzer it and it just flies the arc it's entire flight. Anhyzer it on any angle and it holds the Anhyzer almost it's entire flight (with a fade as it stalls) I now have a Catalyst that is over disc for me but as long as I keep it low I get a similar result but I get more fade. I seem to get good comments for my throw as everyone else seems to be throwing Hyzers, Flips or Anhyzers... not many like myself seem to throw a flat flight as a staple.

@@vkws828 I could easily survive on my small bag with just... Proxy RPM Kea MVP Cosmic Neutron Tesla Opto SPZ3 Diamond Champion Beast Rive and maybe the Catalyst. I can fill fairly much all the gaps I need with that and have room for a towel and a drink in my 10-disc retired bag. If I had to do a 1 disc round... The Kea makes a good putter and upshot and I can yeet it about 250ft if needed. (It is a grippy soft base plastic that sticks to the ground and does beautiful Anhyzer flex puts from 50+ft (not that they go in, but they land dang close when they miss)... I have my longest putt (101ft) with that back shoulder, facing forward flex putt.

There are other Latitude discs that have been discontinued, just as I learn to throw and depend on them. Very depressing, but I get over it, and then spend my money with other manufacturers.

It's funny how they considered this a 6 speed but 5 speed rim when they also had the Trident which they called a 6 speed but the rim was as wide as a 9 speed like a Thunderbird.
